Chelsea are on a 4-match winless streak before being a guest of Man City in the League Cup. This is the first game that Raheem Sterling returns to the Etihad Stadium after moving to Chelsea in the summer.

Potter reveals why Raheem Sterling hasn't played well at Chelsea
Sterling is in a disappointing period of form. The Englishman has not scored a Premier League goal since August. However, Coach Potter has no doubts about Sterling's ability.
“Players will have to go through periods of inactivity in their careers and sometimes they have moments where all the touches are golden. I don't think you should focus on individuals.
The team is not doing as well as I would like and that affects individuals. Sterling is an individual on the team so our job is to try and improve the structure of the team. I have no doubts about Sterling's ability. He's a top player who has proven himself."
Sterling has only scored five goals this season in all competitions. The Blues certainly expect Sterling to shine after spending up to £47.5m to sign the player in the summer.
This weekend, Sterling will have the opportunity to quench his thirst for goals when he meets his favorite opponent, Newcastle. The 27-year-old has contributed to 6 goals in his last 6 matches against Newcastle in the Premier League, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist.
