Beautiful area, lovely plants and nature; peaceful and relaxing. If you need to 'recharge your batteries' son bou is the place to go. Local shops are good too and club st jame for good food and entertainment on most nights. The buses to Mahon and Cuitadella aren't very frequent so best to check time tables in advance.
Beautiful area and the people are very kind. Casa Andres is by far the best Restuarant, the paella and fish dishes were lovely. Plenty of supermarkets for essentials. Beautiful beach and plenty of swimming pools for public to use,
Son Bou is a wonderful resort with facilities to suit all tastes and age groups - from mini VIP’s to OAP’s. We have been returning as a family for many years now as it’s a great base for exploring the island.
Liked most: Atmosphere, pool, welcome pack, very friendly people, kids and family friendly. . Can improve: English tv channels More toiletries including cleaning products. Overall, great stay and very clean.
The beach is beautiful, clean and the water is very clear, however it was very busy in August and every available space was occupied. My normal preference would be to go to the beach every day, but it was a little crowded. We ate in some good restaurants and the whole resort seemed very safe, clean and well maintained. It's a lovely family resort.
Son Bou is a lovely little town. Great choice of restaurants and all the shops you need. I thought it would be too touristy and 'English' but it wasn't at all. The beach is just lovely (although busy) and the sea is probably the nicest sea I've swum in outside Australia. We took a pedalo with a slide out for an hour on two days which was brilliant and definitely my kids favourite part of the trip. Very reasonable at 12 euros. The swimming pool in Zone 3 was massive and had a lovely bar/ice cream place. We didn't really explore anywhere else as we were only there for a week and Son Boy had everything we wanted!
