Dans Vivement dimanche ce 28 août, Lola Dewaere a été invitée par Michel Drucker à faire un inventaire des films de son père, Patrick. Il y en a un dans la longue liste de ce dernier qui la met mal à l’aise.
Le 16 juillet 1982, Patrick Dewaere se donnait la mort. Le comédien, icône du cinéma au moment de son décès, l’est toujours aujourd’hui. Sa fille Lola est régulièrement interviewée sur son illustre père qu’elle a perdu alors qu’ elle n’avait que deux ans et demi . Présente sur le plateau de Vivement dimanche ce 28 août sur France 2, Michel Drucker lui a d’abord montré une photo d’elle enfant avec son père. Puis l’animateur a questionné la jeune femme de 42 ans sur les films de celui qui est décédé à 35 ans.
Quand on pense à la carrière de Patrick Dewaere, son association avec Gérard Depardieu dans Les Valseuses , film qui les révélera tous les deux au grand public, est probablement ce qui arrive en premier à l’esprit. Si sa fille indique que le long métrage est pour elle « un chef-d’œuvre » , elle ajoute cependant : « Je l’ai vu il y a longtemps. Je ne sais pas, ce n’est pas un film avec lequel je me sens forcément à l’aise » , avant d’ajouter : « Il n’y a rien de personnel, c’est l’époque. »
Si Lola Dewaere est connue pour son humour ou ses réponses cash sur les réseaux sociaux, elle sait aussi faire preuve de tendresse et d’émotion. À l’occasion de l’anniversaire du décès de son père, elle a posté sur son compte Instagram une photo en noir et blanc tirée du tournage du film Hôtel des Amériques . On y voit son père, mais aussi Catherine Deneuve qui lui donne la réplique dans le long-métrage d’André Téchiné datant de 1981.
Sa relation avec son père a toujours été complexe pour Lola, longtemps connue pour être « la fille de ». Elle a vécu toute sa vie avec un sentiment d'abandon, et sa relation a toujours été compliquée avec sa mère . Mais elle a tout de même prêté sa voix à un documentaire sur Patrick Dewaere présenté au Festival de Cannes en mai 2022. Comme si le temps était à la réconciliation.
