Nearly a two years after his release from prison on child pornography charges, a Lubbock man was back before a federal judge on Wednesday to plead guilty again to a similar charge .
George John Maslovar II, 68, appeared before U .S . Magistrate Judge D . Gordon Bryant pleaded guilty to a count of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor . He faces between 10 to 20 years in prison .
He admitted to storing more than 80 images of child sexual abuse on an online photo account .
Maslovar pleaded guilty on July 11, 2007 to receipt of child pornography and was sentenced to 12 years in prison .
According to court records, Maslovar's charges in 2007 stemmed from an FBI investigation into reports about images of child sexual abuse being found in his work computer at the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal . His co-workers told investigators they'd seen him view the materials on the work computer .
Investigators spoke with Maslovar, who admitted to downloading and deleting images of child sexual abuse and adult pornography on his computers at work and home for years . Officials believe Maslovar's actions go back as far as 2003 .
Maslovar told investigators that he was addicted to child pornography and traded the materials online .
He was released on Jan . 30, 2019 . On Dec . 9, 2020 a tip from Google led FBI agents to his photo account that contained 81 images of child pornography with at least one image involving a child younger than 12 years old .
He was arrested on July 16 and was indicted two days earlier .
Maslovar remains held at the Bailey County Jail . A sentencing hearing will be set after a pre-sentencing report .

TAMPA, Fla . -- An Illinois man has been sentenced to five years in prison for looking at child pornography during a commercial flight to Florida .
Donald Max Ingram, 70, was sentenced Thursday in Tampa federal court, according to court records . He pleaded guilty in May to possessing and viewing images of children being sexually abused .
According to court documents, Ingram was traveling on a plane headed to St . Pete–Clearwater International Airport in September 2020 when another passenger observed Ingram viewing child sex abuse material on his cellphone . The passenger alerted law enforcement when the plane landed, and deputies assigned to the airport detained Ingram and contacted the FBI .
Ingram admitted that he had used his cellphone to access and view child sex abuse images and consented to a search of his phone, prosecutors said . A forensic analysis of Ingram’s cellphone revealed that he possessed 59 images depicting children being sexually abused . Some of the images depicted children younger than 12 years old .

EAST ST . LOUIS, Ill . – A Centralia, Illinois man will spend six-plus years in federal prison following a conviction on child pornography charges .
According to court documents, Homeland Security investigators and Jefferson County, Illinois law enforcement received information that a Dropbox user had received files containing child pornography .
Between July 19, 2019 and Feb . 13, 2020, Dakota Olson possessed more than 1,500 images and 150 videos of the illicit material on his Dropbox account .
Olson, 27, had previously been convicted of criminal sexual abuse of a minor and was required to register as a sex offender .
He appeared in federal court in East St . Louis on Tuesday to learn his fate .
A judge sentenced Olson to 78 months in prison plus five years of probation upon his release .

PUNTA GORDA, Fla . – A Port Charlotte man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child and having child pornography .
Eric Cansler, 40, was sentenced in 2 cases, according to the State Attorney’s Office . He received a 30-sentence for one count of sexual activity with a child in a 2019 case and 5 years on four counts of child pornography possession .
He will also get five years of sex offender probation five other counts of child pornography from a 2020 case, prosecutors said . As part of his sentence, Cansler will also be designated a sexual predator and must provide a DNA sample to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and par court costs .
The State Attorney’s Office confirmed in the first case, that a child told her mother about Cansler touching her inappropriately in a sexual manner . Her mother got in touch with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office after confronting Cansler .
CCSO investigated and during a search of his home, they found a Go-Pro camera, SD cards, and thumb drives in a camera bag in the garage, prosecutors said . Numerous photos and videos of child pornography were found on the devices . Some of the evidence also showed Cansler participating .
