My videos app disappeared in July from iOS 11 beta. Now it finally shows in the app store again but says "this app requires specific features not available on this device" it is an iPhone 7 Plus 256gb.
What am I missing?

You don't have access to the Videos app anymore. Your movies and TV shows are now in the TV app instead. If you live in a region where the TV app is available, you can't re download the Videos app, but Apple keeps it in the App Store for people in regions where the TV app isn't supported.

Not a huge fan of the TV App. I wish Apple would still leave the option for the videos app. I just want a simple place to download videos to, and the TV app is messy.

The TV app doesn’t seem to have access to Family Sharing content unless you download it first from the iTunes Store. The Videos app used to support this. Am I missing something or is that how it is now? Seems like a step backwards.

I hav e just checked and both downloads and home videos are not available at all for me, however when I check my storage via settings I still have dozens of my own videos in there that don’t appear in the tv at all?

Tractor76 - That happened to me too! I have the new iPhone 8, iOS 11.01 (the most current) and I don't have the TV app nor the videos app. But all my videos and shows seems to be on my iPhone based on my memory. I've tried to find both apps: videos won't let me download and I can't find the TV app at all.

If you're wondering where your movies went, worry not. There're still around. They've just moved to a new location. The Videos app you previously used to access your movies from is no longer available in countries where the TV app is available.
Instead, those movies that you've purchased, stored in iCloud from your movie library, or synced from iTunes will now be accessible from the TV app.
Here's how to find your movies and TV shows on your iPhone and iPad.
When you purchase movies and TV shows from iTunes, they are automatically synced in iCloud so you can watch them on all of your devices. A shortcut to every movie you've purchased will be in the TV app. You can then either stream or download the movie onto your device.
When you find what you want, you can either stream content in iCloud or download it directly onto your device so you can watch it while offline.
If you sync movies and TV shows onto your iPhone or iPad from iTunes on your computer, don't worry, those titles are still around, too. They're also tucked away in the TV app.
When you find what you want, you can tap play to watch it at any time.
If you have a large movie selection, you might have a little trouble finding the movies you're looking for. If you only have a handful of titles downloaded onto your iPhone or iPad, you can find them easily in your local library in the TV app.
