She was born in Hackney, which makes her a rarish bird - a genuine Cockney - though she hates the rather hackneyed (lol) old cliches. Rather, she's very much the 21st century cosmopolitan lady!

Growing up in E17 she developed her rather retro but eclectic taste in music. Generally very rock based from early rock and roll, to the Beatles, The Kinks etc. of the sixties with a bit of Motown and Ska thrown in, through to 1976/78 Punk - very much influenced by her Uncle! Post punk tastes have centred around a life long love of The Cure (bless her!) and very much up to date with the likes of Muse, Radiohead and Placebo etc.

Whilst at school she developed an interest in Geology, but after being conned by your archetype 'glamour photographer' who's gonna make you famous - yes girls, you've all heard it before - she gave up glamour (really before she'd started) to take a degree in Geology which she passed with flying colours - and Honours to boot!

After gaining her degree Red became a business woman opening and running one of Britain's leading retro boutiques in North London's infamous Camden Stables Market - a business she still has a vested interest in today. Don't mention Camden to Red she knows it inside out and as they say she's 'been there, done it and got the T-shirt'!

It was about 10 years ago that whilst on business in Lancaster Gate she had her meeting with one of the enfant terribles of the London fetish scene at the time - Ben Westwood - fetish photographer son of Vivienne, who walked up to her said the old chestnut 'I want to photograph you', and by the end of the week she was on every lamp post in Soho ( well, nearly!) on a flyer for a gay nightclub in a very compromising position!

Over the following year a huge amount of work followed, including the now lost bondage movie starring Red and scream queen Eileen Daley - a tour de force of bondage, naughtiness and haute couture lingerie from Vivienne Westwood and Agent Provocateur. Surely a Suicide Girls production way ahead of time! This film very briefly became cult viewing in the London arthouse world.....until one night the co-director ran off with it!

Since these early days Red has never stopped working covering both fetish and glamour genres with her joie de vivre. She's worked right across the UK glamour business including her own ranges of naughty fetish dvds 'The House of Red', 'Sex Bondage', and 'Dungeon Diva'.
Very much in the vein of glamour heroine Bettie Page she has always kept her feet firmly on the ground, and has always worked with camera clubs and amateur photographers and continues to do so.
In her career so far, Red has managed to straddle the change-over in the glamour business from its late 20th century magazine/video base to the 21st century internet web-based business with great aplomb! She actually runs and hosts her own website at http://www.red-xxx.com which has become one of the UK's most established adult glamour sites. This she has managed to fit in with working for countless others with her usual fetish slant - everything from the legendary Lady Sonia to Splosh!

Over the last decade or so Red has relocated to the idyllic Cotswolds - though still very much with a base in London! On a rare day off she's just as likely to be found having a pint in a west country pub or a cream tea in Cornwall as she is shopping for shoes in town - yes shoes are her Achilles heel - the higher the better!
