Here’s the thing: you found a video online. It’s so catchy, you can’t stop watching it. On repeat, every day. Now you’re thinking, “Oh boy, I really wanna re-watch it when I’m offline. What’s the easiest way?” The answer is: you get yourself a video grabber tool.
Using video grabbers is not rocket science. You just have to enter the URL of the video and then download it directly to your device. Once saved, you can watch it anytime.
In this post, I share a comparison of five top video grabber tools that stand out from the crowd to make sure you make the best decision. Plus, I talk about the rise of online videos and why Youtube is such a big deal.
Before I started downloading online videos, I wish someone had told me not all video grabbing tools are alike. Inspired by Eric Griffith ‘s post for PC Magazine, I’ve put together a list with some crucial aspects all video grabbers should have :

博客大巴很有自己的风格。我也曾关注 横戈 的博客很久，他有时候确实“神神叨叨”，但我曾喜欢他的文字和热情。我记得他描述自己创办“城客”，激情万丈，克服种种困难的经历让我动容。出差的时候，我曾经在上海某地 方圆几公里的N家便利店里面遍寻最新出的“城客”，很开心最终买到。
我始终觉得：做人也好，做事也好，我们需要热情，也需要专注和耐心，更要有所谓的consistency..
从个人的角度，不管何种经历，都会有“收获”（如同上面横戈自己的回答）。但我们是社会的人，你的人和你做的事会留下印记，你会给别人带来影响。也许，你并不在乎别人的看法，只关注自己的感受和“收获”，但是你需要给别人一个稳定的“可预期状态”，你做的事也要有一个合理的交待，哪怕暂时低迷或失败。这些，俗话叫“靠谱”。

很多时候，别人说什么不重要，重要的是自己清楚表面的背后究竟是什么，这家公司也好，网站也好，最终如何，现在只不过是过程当中的时刻——至于说微博之类，其实跟我们想做的事，并无影响也无关系，只是“大家”非要拉扯上关系，然而无论是任何事物，最终决定的，还是自身的内在而非外在。
blogbus之前我不觉得有多辉煌，现在也没觉得有多差——只是特殊的时刻，停滞了许久，这在“飞速”的互联网行业，确实显得不怎么给力。但这并不代表我们已经放弃或者觉得后继不可为之。
很多时候，大部分人并未有过经历，但不妨碍可以在一边品头论足——这是每个人的自由。但真正做事的，会亲历过程，并得到真正的收获。
大环境下，它对用户的言论管理超越了门户；行业背景中对用户的要求很高；技术上，对用户最宝贵的数据，不珍惜；行为上，不敢承认自己的失误。怎么不没落？！
很多人以为我是博客大巴（BlogBus）的创始人，但其实我是博客大巴第2256个用户，那是在2003年6月。那时我还在证券公司上班，在成为第一批博主用户之后没多久，博客大巴的服务器就跑不动了。从用户角度，我当然希望产品能用得更爽，当时的想法真这么简单，于是就自己去买了台服务器，帮助当时的创始人（一个 中科大 学生）一块做。后来他从学校毕业后就到一家软件公司上班，对运营博客也不再感兴趣，于是我接过了大巴。
当时我的生活和工作都处于很舒服的状态，还有出国计划，但我还是决定创业，为此卖掉了刚入手的370平方米的大house，搬家到了上海。那是2005年。当我决定要做互联网，一开始就想的很清楚，这是个烧钱的玩意，具体怎么赚钱还不知道，但隐隐约约觉着这个东西是信息革命，不做会遗憾。
博客大巴十几个人的团队，运营到一年半之后，钱就全部花完了。2006年年底，我们拿到CA的300万投资。但那时我已经确信博客类产品不会产生很大的商业价值。尽管峰值最高时PV也有1000多万，是国内流量前100名的网站，但我们注重用户体验，不想投放广告，同时我觉得博客这种形式在中国不可能复制美国的用户付费模式。
尽管BlogBus在2008年已经实现了盈亏平衡，但我们当时是希望能做一些创新业务实现更大的商业价值。当我提出要尝试SNS+Game（社交网络+游戏）的战略转型，董事会却认为这么做有风险，这个分歧也是导致后来我一气之下决定从投资人手中赎回股份。
我们想做SNS+Game的时候，Facebook也还在创业早期，当时还没听说他们有同类想法。事实证明这是可以实现部分（不是全部）商业价值的产品模式。不管是Facebook还是陌陌后来都看到这点。但当时因为我们决定赎回股份，导致之后也没有更多资金投入这个新项目。所以后期也只能勉强维持对博客产品的运营。
微博出来之后，博客大巴还保持不错的势头增长了两年。后来外界都说是微博对博客类产品造成了很大冲击，但其实是我们内部资金问题和政府监管的力度加大。到2010年时候公司只剩下10个人，我们连房租都交不起。
2011年开始，我们想做一个新的社交产品，个人信息的聚合，比如你喜欢的电影书籍，买的东西都可以分享。美国有一款应用叫Just me，我当时隐约觉得他们和我想做的东西一样——与各种社交网站的账号关联，通过大数据和社交化体系来做用户关系。不同之处在于，我们想做的是把这后面的用
