TRAGIC porn star Olivia Nova tried to "change her lifestyle" in the run-up to her death as doctors had warned her "days were limited", a close friend has revealed.
Olivia, born Lexi Forde in Minnesota, went to her friend's house to stay sober for three days instead of seeking medical help, Jimmie Romero claimed.
Jimmie, who has worked in recovery rehabs and has been sober for 14 years, said he pleaded with Lexi to go to hospital for a full detox, Mirror Online reported.
But instead Olivia tried to help herself while helping another friend who was "heading down a dangerous path".
He said: "Lexi knew her days were limited, she was told in October by doctors. She looked in my eyes and said to me, 'I want to stop and change my life. I have a family that loves me'."
Jimmie added: "I am indebted to Lexi for her selfless act. She passed trying to save others and I believe that's the stuff saints are made of."
Lexi was found dead in Las Vegas earlier this week months after her boyfriend committed suicide.
LA Direct Models said they were "beyond shocked by the sudden death" the cause of which is currently unknown.
Days before she was found, she tweeted: "Alone on the holidays and want to give a fan a holiday call. Would lift my spirit."
In a bid to raise funds for her funeral costs, her family launched a GoFundMe page which has now received £6623 ($9050).
The crowdfunding page reads: "On the morning of January 7 2018, heaven gained an angel as Lexi Rose Forte, 20 years old, passed away unexpectedly in Las Vegas.
"She leaves behind so many loved ones including her mum, Leslie, her 17-year-old brother David and her 7-year-old sister Macie.
"Leslie must now travel to Las Vegas to sort through and pack Lexi's belongings, retrieve Lexi's beloved dog, Rocko, and finally, bring Lexi back home to Minnesota."
She is now the fifth actress to die in the adult film industry within the last three months.
Yuri Luv , 31, August Ames , 23, and Shyla Stylzez, 35, all passed away recently.
In December, Ames killed herself after she was trolled on social media for refusing to film a sex scene.

So sad. Adult film star Olivia Nova's death just became a lot more heartbreaking, as a new police report states she was half-naked and dead for 12 hours before being found.
When we first discovered adult film star Olivia Nova , 20, passed away in Las Vegas on Jan. 7, we were devastated. But we had no idea how traumatic her death really was… until now. A new police report obtained by HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY shows that Olivia was found by police half-naked and her body was appeared to have been dead for at least 12 hours before being found. Las Vegas Metro PD said they responded to a call on Jan. 7, when a witness had reported Olivia died. The witness said she appeared to be dead, but was alive the day before — even though she seemed “out of it and very ill like she was having drug withdrawals .”
When officers did an initial inspection of the body upon arrival, she had a “vaginal discharge” and “bruising on her lower left leg.” She was also “nude from the waist down.” Even so, the coroner didn’t think her death was suspicious. Afterwards, the witness showed police Olivia’s Facebook page , “where she described being very ill since the end of December but scared to go to the hospital.” The “smelly vaginal discharge” was likely due to “a severe infection,” the coroner concluded.
Prescription medication bottles that were prescribed to her for a kidney infection and a urinary tract infection, were also found at the scene. So because of that, along with the infection, the coroner believes Olivia probably had such a bad infection that it turned into sepsis, which “probably ultimately caused her death.” However, a full medical evaluation will be completed at the coroner’s office to confirm the investigation at the scene.
