Move over, Google. There's a new search engine in town, and it's most definitely not safe for work. BoodiGo allows you to anonymously "search [for] what you're really looking for" -- a.k.a. porn.
BoodiGo is the brainchild of porn producer and director Colin Rowntree, who is fed up with current search engine algorithms. According to Rowntree, sites like Google and Bing bury legitimate -- as in, not pirated -- porn websites in their search results.
Just like piracy is a huge issue for Hollywood, it's also a problem for the adult entertainment industry. When people don't pay for the content they're viewing, it's detrimental to everyone who put work into that content -- regardless of whether it's PG or X-rated.
BoodiGo blocks pirated porn from its results, so users can rest easy knowing that the stuff they're viewing is legal and virus-free. (No, not that kind of virus. Computer viruses, duh!)
The search engine helps people “find legitimate, legal, non-scary, non-damaging content for their adult entertainment needs,” Rowntree told Betabeat .
Interestingly, five of BoodiGo's programmers are ex-Google employees who left the company to help Rowntree build the site. They coded everything from scratch and even added a few perks that most current search engines don't have -- like the fact that BoodiGo won't sell your info to advertisers. This means that your dirty search history won't later creep up in sidebar ads across the Internet.
And as for the site's future possibilities, “We might end up experimenting with some kind of anonymous instant messaging service as an alternative to Skype or Google Chat,” Rowntree told Betabeat . “The obvious name for that will be Boodicall.”

Children and teenagers who are exposed to pornography online are more likely to develop an addiction to smut than adults, according to researchers.
Teens young brains are “more wired for pleasure and so are more susceptible to fall prey to porn addiction because their brains release higher dosages of dopamine, the neurotransmitter that is associated with pleasurable feelings, The Wall Street Journal reported .
Sexual activity is known to stimulate the brain by releasing an excess dose of dopamine. In young people whose brains are particularly sensitive to overstimulation, exposure to porn could lead the brain to seek out the pleasurable dose in a compulsive manner.
Researchers have also found that repeated exposure to pornography makes whose who are “predisposed toward aggressive sexual behavior” more than four times more likely to display greater levels of sexual violence than their peers who consumed porn less frequently.
Another major study also found that young men who reported compulsive consumption of pornography had brain activity that mirrored those of drug addicts who were shown photographs of narcotics.
Meanwhile, a separate study found that some 42% of kids between the ages of 10 and 17 will have been exposed to pornographic material sometime during the previous 12 months.
Researchers warn that this prolonged exposure to pornography at such a young age could distort teens’ views on sex.
Billie Eilish, the 20-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer, has said that he believes a porn habit that he first developed at the age of 11 has “destroyed my brain.”
“I think porn is a disgrace. I used to watch a lot of porn, to be honest. I started watching porn when I was, like, 11,” Eilish told Howard Stern of SiriusXM Radio last year.
Eilish also admitted that she began watching more and more graphic types of pornography, which warped her ideas about sex and relationships.
“It got to a point where I couldn’t watch anything else unless it was violent, I didn’t think it was attractive,” she confessed.
Experts warn that parents and educators should refrain from inducing guilt or shame in teens by scolding them for watching porn.
A survey conducted by Los Angeles-based psychologist Nicole Prause found that nearly one in three young adult men who took part in a porn-abstinence program reported feeling suicidal after relapsing.
“If we shut down conversations and say, ‘Don’t watch porn, and if you do, it’s an addiction and it will rot your brain,’ that’s terrifying,” Prause told the Journal.
“It’s some of the messaging that’s making it worse.”
Experts recommend that parents filter explicit content on their kids’ devices. Apple offers a “Content and Privacy Restrictions” option in the “Screen Time” section of the settings menu on iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices.
This allows parents to block “adult websites” from the devices.
Android-operated devices also offer content restrictions that can be activated by going to the Google Play Store and selecting “Parental controls.”

How often do you watch porn? And would you consider that a healthy amount or are you compulsive about it?
Watching porn has become the norm for many who use it to spice things up in the bedroom or while away lonely nights.
But new research suggests that not all porn viewers are the same and, instead, can be split into three groups.
What’s concerning, though, is that only one of those groups is considered healthy.
A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine revealed there are recreational, compulsive and distressed porn viewers.
Recreational viewers account for 75 percent of all participants in the study, watching an average of 24 minutes of porn a week.
This group consisted of mainly women and people in relationships.
It was closely followed by the distressed group, who watched porn for the least amount of time – about 17 minutes per week.
As the name suggests, the distressed group associate their emotional distress with watching X-rated material.
Then there is the compulsive group.
This group may have made up just 11.8 percent of the participants, but watched a staggering 110 minutes of porn per week.
Researchers discovered that men were more likely to fall into this category.
The experts from Université Laval in Quebec who conducted the study said only those who were recreational viewers were healthy porn watchers.
To conduct the study, the researchers asked 830 people to report how often they watched porn, then measured it against how compulsive their porn habits were and their level of distress while viewing porn.
Recreational users reported higher sexual satisfaction and lower sexual compulsiveness, avoidance and dysfunction.
Compulsive users experienced lower sexual satisfaction and dysfunction and higher sexual compulsiveness and avoidance.
Those who were highly distressed but watched porn less were sexually less satisfied and reported less sexual activity and more sexual dysfunction and avoidance.

The experts concluded that the study “confirms the existence of recreational and compulsive profiles but also demonstrates the existence of an important subgroup of not particularly active, yet highly distressed consumers.”
But while the majority who watch porn appear to be able to do so in a healthy manner, it can be a problem for some.
It is still not classified as a true addiction, but some researchers believe a person can become addicted to watching porn in the same way they can become addicted to drugs and alcohol.
Others argue that there is not enough evidence to support it being treated as an addiction.
