When I was growing up, after Mom divorced, we often visited my relatives in Minnesota. And often we stayed at my aunt’s place, a nice farm with a nice swimming pool in the backyard.
Given that Minnesota has beautiful summers, and given my love for swimming, I often liked going to Aunt Jane’s for the summer. She was my mom’s youngest sister, divorced and with no kids.
One summer, right after I’d turned 14, we went up to see Aunt Jane. For the past week or so, I’d been acting up badly, and I’d been saying some means things to Mom, especially on the way up. She’d been threatening to spank me if I didn’t watch out, but I thought I was too old for that sort of thing.
Anyway, we arrived at Aunt Jane’s and after unpacking, I undressed and changed into my swimsuit. A few minutes later, I was out at the pool. Usually, Mom and Aunt Jane came out to go swimming, too, but this time they didn’t, and I began to wonder what was up. So, after a few more laps, I got out of the pool and towelled off.
I lay back in one of the deck chairs to work on my tan, which was now a dark brown. Almost drifting off to sleep, I heard the back door open, looked up and saw Aunt Jane and Mom walking toward me. I stood when I saw that they meant business.
Aunt Jane told me that Mom had told her all that was going on, and that she had a very quick cure for whatever ailed me. I had a choice: be spanked by one or the other. I laughed and told them what they could do with it if they thought they were going to spank me.
Before I knew it, they both sprang upon me, and I could literally feel the pent-up anger within Mom begin to burst. With one brutal yank she jerked down my swimsuit, revealing stark white skin against brown. Of course, I didn’t like being seen naked by either my mother or my aunt, and I fought harder. But my aunt had a firm grip on my hands, and soon the two had me bending over a deck chair.
I felt my butt being swatted strongly, and I now knew it was Mom who was doing it. The tears began flowing, and so did many apologies, but to no avail. The spanking went on for what seemed like ages. Finally, after my rear had was beet red, Mom finally stopped and I was told to go to my room.
However, that wasn’t the only punishment I received that day. Aunt Jane thought it best that I spend the rest of the day without clothes, just as a ‘reminder’ of my bad behaviour. I wasn’t allowed to go to my room to seek privacy – instead, I was ordered to remain in whatever part of the house either she, my mother or both were in.
You can believe that I learned my lesson by the end of that day!

Its finally started to warm up around here again, we live near the beach so i take my 2 boys (13 and 16) to the beach often. Does anyone else find it necessary to spank their kids at the beach if they act up too much and cant behave? Obvously its better not to ruin the day by having to drag one of the kids all the way to the locker room to give them a spanking and waiting until we get home isnt an option but i also dont think its appropriate to bare them in a public environment like that so i usually just give them a few hard swats over there bare thighs or to the back of their speedo briefs. (yes i still have both my boys in speedo briefs for this very reason and because it encourages good behavior) and it usually keeps them behaved for the rest of the day so no extra punishment is needed when they get home but still, theres always going to be the next time. Posted a similar conversation before but im wondering how other people deal with it?

Strange that you have to be afraid to lower a boy's speedo to give discipline. But it does happen at pool gatherings.

I don't think it is proper, or even allowed, to take down a teen boy's swimsuit to spank him on a public beach.
You could take them to a secluded spot or the car park if there is one on the beach to spank them privately.

This was how I was sometimes spanked by my aunt when she took me to a public beach. She also made me wear brief speedos at the beach like you do to your sons, although they were more in fashion for boys at the time.
But in private family pools it was a different matter and was not uncommon as John mentions.
Sometimes she took me to a friend of hers who had a backyard pool. The woman had 2 boys and a girl and sometimes both mine or one of the boys would have their speedos come down for a spanking if we were not behaving. This was till we were 13 or 14.
Sometimes as additional punishment we had to remain swimming naked for the rest of the time, to the delight of the boys sister who was one year younger than me. Both the bare spankings and the forced nude swimming were embarrassing for us boys.

If what you're doing works, then keep doing it. It's simple, not a big deal and keeps them in line.

If they do need a more formal spanking, I don't think the issue of baring them is the main one. I think at this time in our culture, it's best not to administer a formal spanking to a 13 or 16 year old in public. Not only might this attract unwanted attention or a report to the authorities, but many people find spanking to be disturbing. I wouldn't want to force that on the public.

If a more formal spanking is necessary, I'd say go for the locker room (though I doubt you can take a 13 or 16 year old boy in the women's locker room), or go to the parking lot. Even spanking them between two cars is fine. It doesn't matter if others see. I don't consider that the same as forcing someone to see out in the open, on the beach.

I realize this is a spanking forum, but you might also try just having them sit for half an hour, if they're misbehaving.

How do you handle discipline at home?

I've certainly swatted a bottom on beaches at times, but if one of mine needs a "real" spanking, we go to the van so he or she can have his or her backside tended to properly.

I've done the same but at a hotel. If they need a proper spanking I take them up to the room? Do you remove your daughters one piece bathingsuit?

One reason I stopped going to the pool with my stepmom and sister was the fact that all I could wear was speedo. I always thought she bought them one size too small as even flaccid you could tell I was circumcised.

And with speedos any change in penis size is quite noticeable.

And with all the skimpy bathing suits around it didn't take much for my penis to increase in size. My stepmom was always watching for this to happen and when it did she always tried to embarrass by calling attention to what was happening and also doing little things to get me harder.

Never a good situation.
