The allure of the Arctic, with its colossal icebergs and unique wildlife, is drawing an increasing number of tourists. This surge in iceberg tourism, while economically beneficial, is inadvertently presenting a complex web of challenges for the very creatures that define this fragile ecosystem.

As icebergs calve and drift, they become mobile spectacles, attracting expedition cruise ships and smaller Zodiac tours. While observing these icy giants from a distance might seem harmless, the sheer volume of human activity is beginning to have a measurable impact.

One significant concern is the disruption of feeding grounds. Marine mammals, such as seals and whales, rely on specific ice floes for resting, breeding, and hunting.
