In December 1997, more than 700 Japanese children suffered seizures, vomiting, irritated eyes and other symptoms after viewing a flashing red background in the episode "Electric Soldier Porygon" from the Japanese version of the show. The show was pulled for retooling until April of 1998. "Electric Soldier Porygon" was only shown once (in Japan), and has never been shown again. The episode was dubbed for the American version with the offending animation slowed down and strobe effects deleted, but was never aired.
In one episode Brock's Geodude participates in an all-Fighting Pokemon tournament. A Geodude, however, is NOT fighting, it's rock/ground. In the original card series there was no rock or ground type, only fighting type to represent all three types.
The Pokemon logo makes one last appearance at the very end of the credits, after the Summit Media Group bumper.
The 4Kids version included removing suggestive content and changing the fate of several characters, as well as editing the story to be much lighter and kid friendly in tone for the US release. Such edits as removal of written Japanese characters on various signs, billboards,etc.; cigar or anything that's a tobacco product, alcoholic like beverages, and any scenes that seem too violent.

I've played a lot of Pokemon fan games and rom hacks, but to my surprise, there aren't a lot of them that has lewd elements. Sure I've seen things like violence & death and swearing like a sailor, but nothing sexy. What I've listed are the top 5 lewdest fan games on the subject. Keep in mind that I'm only counting fan games that at least has a playable beta/demo, so anything that is planned or in development do not qualify.
1) Pokemon Ecchi verson - Hino-Arashi
This game is one I've been following for over a year. You play as the female trainer Ellie as she and her partner Cyndaquil travel the region to catch pokemon and collect gym badges, even in the nude. Weither you win against female trainers, lose the battle, or just want to see some hot action, this game has it. Now granted it's not complete, but the amount of content available with each update, and the fact that the game is still regularly updated, even if the timeframe between updates can be long, is enough for your dirty mind to get entranced in the game world and earned it's place as number 1 on my list.
2) Pokemon Psychic Adventure - EViLGRiN
This one I've actually just started playing, so I'll be brief. This actually a rom hack of Pokemon Fire Red, but the changes begins with the starter pokemon, Drowzee. After starting with Drowzee as your starter pokemon, you discovered that not only have many male trainers (i.e gym leaders and your rival) have been replaced with female characters, but with said Drowzee, you'll be able to hypnotize and control various female npcs and perform various lewd acts with them. While the lewd action aren't really seen, the fact that there are lewd actions inbetween is enough for me to put this in number 2 .
3) Pokemon Girl Hunter - Fz15
This is the first lewd GBA rom hack I've played as well as the first completed project. The game centered on a female trainer catching not only normal pokemon, but also pokemorphs, gym leaders, other trainers, and more, many of which have lewd evolutions. While there are some action when catching pokemorphs/trainers and during some events, that's about it. You don't get to "play" with the team you've caught, which is why it's only number 3 on this list.
4) Pokemorph - Dapper Gent and the Dark Impulses team
Another lewd pokemon game made with RPG maker, this is the first to have an original story, which is centered on Bay and his Eevee trying to find the cause of the Pokemorph virus that transformed all of the pokemon into horny pokemorphs. Sadly, a cease-and-desist prompted the team to abandon the project and move on, though they did release a sort of final update as a final good-bye to the project. Depite being less complete than Humbird0's game, its original story and event scenes helped put it in number 4 .
5) Pokemon Hentai version - Humbird0
The first lewd pokemon game played, this one holds a special place in my memories. Made with RPG maker, it's basically a lewd version of the Pokemon anime where you travel the Kanto region, meeting sexy pokemorphs, collecting gym badges, and taking pictures. Unforunately, updates for the game is pracially halted due to Humbird0 being too busy to work on it anymore, leaving it incomplete. The reason it's number 5 is because of a lack of inbetween action with the pokemorphs or anyone else. I'm not saying its bad, just that there could've been more.
There's probably more out there, but I couldn't find them. Anyway, leave your thoughts in the comments below.

I made this list before those 2 games were even released. Besides, given that these games are sequels with similar stories, I can easily say that Pokemon Girl Hunter is the only series of romhacks to appear on this list.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet — 03 August, 2022
A new Pokémon Presents has just finished airing, and revealed new Pokémon and features for Pokémon Scarlet/Violet. The region is known as Paldea and the games have been confirmed to be open world, with the gyms being completable in any order. Part of the story involves enrolling in an academy as a student - Naranja Academy in Scarlet or Uva Academy in Violet - and taking on a Treasure Hunt .
The full Pokémon Presents is below; the Scarlet/Violet portion starts at 9:20.
One of the major features is the Terastal Phenomenon , which turns Pokémon into a crystalline form. All Pokémon in Paldea can Terastallize which increases their power. Some Pokémon change type when Terastallizing, depending on their Tera Type , for example Pikachu can become Flying type.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet — 01 June, 2022
A new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet has been released. It shows off some new characters and a handful of new Pokémon, and announces the release date as 18th November 2022 . Watch it here:
The legendary Pokémon that will appear on the game covers are Koraidon and Miraidon . No more details about them were revealed. See below for official artwork.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet — 27 February, 2022
The latest Pokémon Presents has just finished airing, and announced brand new Pokémon games, titled Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet .
The footage showed a new region, filled with Pokemon like recent games Sword/Shield/Legends: Arceus. At the end, the three starter Pokémon are shown. Their names were later officially announced as:

Pokémon Legends: Arceus — 25 January, 2022
A new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus has been released. It reveals that there are new Hisuian forms for the starter Pokémon - Decidueye, Typhlosion, Samurott - although it doesn't show them explicitly. However, their silhouettes were shown in a Pokémon Trainer Club email and are displayed below.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus — 15 December, 2021
A new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus has dropped, and reveals two rival clans: Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan. They are led by Adaman and Irida respectively. According to the press release:
The people of the Diamond Clan often speak of the importance of cherishing the present and living in the moment with one’s allies. On the other hand, members of the Pearl Clan frequently advocate the importance of valuing the vast, spacious land shared with others.
The trailer is below, which also announces the Ginkgo Guild , who travel around Hisui selling their wares.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus — 10 December, 2021
A new video has been released for the upcoming game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, featuring a new form of Voltorb. Like the original Voltorb, it looks similar to a Poké Ball - however as this game is set in the past the Poké Balls are made of wood, and so Hisuian Voltorb is Electric/Grass type.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl — 10 November, 2021
A new trailer for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl has been released. This one announces Ramanas Park , a new area in the same place that Pal Park was in the original games. Special Slates can be found throughout the Sinnoh region and taken to Ramanas Park, which allows the player to encounter certain legendaries from the first four generations.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus — 26 October, 2021
Two new trailers have been revealed for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The latter re-confirms Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Zoroark . They are both Normal/Ghost type, and known as the Spiteful Fox Pokémon and Baneful Fox Pokémon respectively. Here's the announcement video:
The BDSP trailer covers various features of the game, such as gym leaders, Team Galactic, and the lake trio of Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus — 21 October, 2021
New found footage has been released, which shows a trainer researching Pokémon in the wild. After seeing some Snorunt, they see a Zorua that is white in appearance with hints of red. After a cloud of smoke engulfs the trainer, we see a Zorua with its parent Zoroark. Watch the video here:
It has been confirmed that they are Normal/Ghost type, the first of this type to exist in Pokémon. We'll bring more details as they come.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus — 28 September, 2021
Two new trailers have dropped for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The BDSP trailer (further below) confirms various features that also appeared in the original DS games, including the Pokétch, Amity Square and Poffins, but with some improvements (see below).
The L:A trailer reveals several new features including Noble Pokémon:
A new Pokémon was revealed - Kleavor - a Hisuian evolution of Scyther. It is one of several Noble Pokémon that have received a mysterious blessing, but something is causing them to become frenzied.
