Plump and long-tailed, American Tree Sparrows are busy visitors in winter backyards and weedy, snow-covered fields across southern Canada and the northern United States. Hopping up at bent weeds or even beating their wings to dislodge seeds from grass heads, they scratch and peck the ground in small flocks, trading soft, musical twitters. Come snowmelt, these small rusty-capped and smooth-breasted sparrows begin their long migrations to breeding grounds in the tundra of the far North.
Another shot from spring of that plump Nashville Warbler. I absolutely love the portraits I was able to get of this guy. Only 2 out of 50 sharp, but I'll take them!
Vine ripened and hand picked myself. Fresh strawberries 🍓 from Santa Maria CA
Winter Robin in the beautiful winter sun..
Holding hands with my best friend... And... I've got the twig! :-))
These birds are really fun to watch.
The western corella (Cacatua pastinator) also known as the western long-billed corella, is a species of white cockatoo endemic to south-western Australia.
Cacatua pastinator is a white cockatoo with the upper wing entirely white and under surface of the wing pale yellow. It has an erect white crest, blue grey eye skin, crimson pink colouring between the eyes and beak, a small pink patch on the throat, and long pointed bill. Cacatua pastinator lacks sexual dimorphism and the sexes are difficult to distinguish. Determination of the sex of Cacatua pastinator cannot be determined on the basis of eye colour or plumage, observations of pairs have revealed that the males are larger than the females and have a deeper alarm call. Cacatua pastinator is a medium-sized stocky cockatoo with broad rounded wings, a short tail, and a crest which is usually flattened. Muir's Corella (Cacatua pastinator pastinator) adults range in length from 43–48 centimetres (17–19 in) and weigh 560–815 grams (19.8–28.7 oz). The northern subspecies, Butler's Corella (Cacatua pastinator butleri), are a smaller bird with adults 40–48 centimetres (16–19 in) in length and weighing up to 700 grams (25 oz). The bill is a dullish grey white, the legs are dark grey and the upper mandible has a long tip. The underparts are often stained or dirty as a result of feeding on the ground and digging.
The flesh of the western corella is described as plump and tender, and suitable for stewing!!
"I keep it juicy juicy, I eat that lunch (Yeah)
She keep that booty booty, she keep that plump (Yeah yeah)
That natural beauty beauty, yeah, yeah
If you could see it from the front, wait 'til you see it from the back..."

White Peony, like Vanilla, fantastic.
Still very plump bud, but starting to unfurl.
The Peony, so luscious and romantic, pure joy for all the senses.
The common thread is that the flower always denotes luxury and indulgence.
My favourite... Lol, thank you for your time and comments, M, (*_*)

RATHER PLUMP BODIED, a distinctive song like jangling keys, and love seeing there short distance flights dangling its legs., this one was , quite trusting, and sat on a dead bit of bramble, to sing, so just had to take its photograph it.
THANK YOU for your visit and support, please leave a comment, love reading them, and find it encouraging, will return the visit very soon. Stay safe and God bless.....Tomx.
I love white-crowned sparrows, but they are so often hidden down in the brush and grasses, happy these two made a brief appearance up top!
They were all plump buds when I bought them, now, they are unfurling one after the other... they are huge!
Perfuming our home with their lovely spicy fragrance, pure joy for all our senses...
Each flower seems to have a different 'personality' which I'm trying to capture.
Lilium auratum, Golden rayed lily of Japan, or Goldband lily. In Japan, Lilium auratum is called Yama yuri which means mountain lily, a much sought after species, some are still growing in the wilds. In ancient times, the Japanese considered lilies a sacred plant.

A Yellow Warbler, peeking through the branches, is puffed up preparing to sing. Migrating songbirds in the Spring stopover along the southern shore of Lake Erie to eat a lot of insects, replenishing their strength before continuing northward across the lakes. Magee Marsh is one of those "stopover" points.
Probably from Michigan, not Maine. Ours are tiny and grow on low bushes.
Lots of Gaillardias going now, and the first Cosmo just opened. Cornflowers are about done.
I worked on emphasizing the highlights to show the juiciness of the plum. Unfortunately, my plum is a bit over-ripened and the flesh appears darker than I would have preferred. It has always impressed me that there are people who can do so much with so little. I am striving to appreciate the smallest details, the things that get overlooked or taken for granted. Find the little joys wherever life takes you are today.
These plump pears were crying out to have their portrait done , warts 'n all [as Oliver Cromwell was credited with saying]
My set up as usual is my black glass desk top with black velvet background. Of course , no matter how much I clean beforehand - there are always dust blemishes to fix with my PSP afterwards.
Plump brown bird of shady understories in humid evergreen forest of tropical lowlands. Found singly or in pairs, perched quietly at low to middle levels. Often sits still for long periods and is easily overlooked. Note the stout bill, reddish eyes, streaky underparts, bushy white whiskers, and finely dappled whitish to buffy upperparts.
Pipeline Road, Panama. January 2014.
Plump, smooth-plumaged bird with a sleek crest and white and yellow markings on wings. Mostly clean gray with brighter rusty wash on the face. Look for rich rufous undertail. Breeds in open coniferous forests at high latitudes across the Northern Hemisphere. Winter range depends on fruit crops; sometimes descends much further south in large numbers. Often found in flocks feasting on fruiting trees like crabapple and mountain ash. Listen for their ringing trills, often given while flying overhead. Compare with Cedar Waxwing in North America; Bohemian is larger and grayer, with rufous undertail and different wing pattern.

A little starling got a temporary plump allure due to the outside cold... She stopped by as I always feed the birds behind my house.
This King Penguin is only 10-12 months old but it is almost as tall as the parents and certainly looks more plump than his parents, thanks to that big ball of feathers he is enveloped in. The chicks look so different from the parents that apparently there was a time when the chicks were assumed to be a distinct species of Penguin. The chicks cannot go into the water until they have lost their fluffy brown juvenile down. The down protects the chicks from the constant strong and cold winds that characterize life in the Falklands but is a very poor insulator when wet. Underneath a link to a previously posted pictures where the chick is begging a parent for food.

I love how they fluff up like that:-)
A large plump caterpillar of the Emperor moth (Saturnia pavonia), making its way across a rocky footpath near the Hole of Horcum on the North York Moors. The caterpillar's vivid bright green and magenta-pink body made it very easy to spot as it made it's way across the footpath, so a quick lens change for a 300mm with 1.4x teleconverter allowed a close up shot. Amusingly, some fellow walkers spotted me training my telephoto lens at something on the ground and looked somewhat puzzled as they approached. What I hadn't seen, whilst concentrating on getting the caterpillar in shot, was a huge cow-pat, less than a foot in front of the caterpillar, and from their perspective, it looked like that was the frankly slightly distasteful subject of my photographic interest! As they approached, they commented that it seemed "best not to ask"! The penny dropped as they got closer and my family pointed out the brightly coloured caterpillar.
Plump thrasher fluffing up its feather
CONFIDING, delightful, plump-bodied wader. Feeding birds can often be watched for prolonged periods at a range of just a few metres. resident from Sept. to April, found at coastal outermost points of any rocky headland.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, your visit and comments are always appreciated, and will look forward to returning the visit, and doing the same on your latest image.
Keep a simile on your face and love in your heart for everyone
God bless......................................Tomx.
We're working on a weight loss program but she's not really cooperating with us. I try to walk her on a leash but she hates being outside and refuses to walk. This is her favorite thing to do besides eat. Her idea of exercise is laying on the floor and batting a ball around a tube. If you notice her feet are quite slim....ha ha.
Plump juicy blackberries,in abundance on the hedgerows, I can see that Blackberry and Apple pie now with lashings of hot custard.
Plump blooms, like an Autumn on fire...
Chrysanthemum: the big blooms often duo toned, collectively known as kotengiku or antique chrysanthemums.
Autumn is a season tinged with the beauty of colours and yet also with some nostalgia...
Another Summer gone, the 'dark' months upon us, with the season of light nearing!
Have a blooming day and thank you for your comments, M, (*_*)

This native pigeon / kereru sat patiently in a big plant in our back patch while I ran at pace to pick up my picture procurer. It's the passing of precepts of privateness putting me into paraphrasing perseverations.
I was partial to the presence of this protected passerine.
Please comment people to prevent my phobia!
(No P comsumed in the writing of this caPtion.)
A short drive in local area with a long walk only produced this Red-legged Partridge. Looks to be a quite plump one
Plump little catkins in the Spring sunset. 🐱
This shot was taken in the evening and this guy was eating non stop, everytime he came up he had something including tadpoles as the water level was so low they had no escape. This bird can eat !!! and you can see he is a plump little guy
We spent a lovely Saturday afternoon picking 8 pounds of plump blueberries in a wonderful U-Pick farm called Jensen Blueberries. It is all certified organic and you can bring your dog! They have a huge Bloodhound who comes to greet everybody. There are sooooo many berries ... I might have to return and get more! It is a miraculously grounding and harmonizing activity to be doing. It just makes you feel good!
I offered Blanca some berries (and the owners don't mind if you or your dog sample plenty) ... but she didn't even want to try a single one!
