Plump Helmet

And so, with the end of the second day in operation, Plump Helmet produces it's first cube. The beginnings are humble, the achievements small, but every great journey begins with a simple step.
This post is from the First Era of Plump Helmet.
This was before the great break of 2019-2021 and the predominant project of the time was Feudalia. The project was placed into cold storage and has not been revived yet. The dream remains alive however. These posts have been kept for posterity.

The Plump Helmet website is currently under construction. In time, it will show case our progress towards making some beautiful indie games. Right now, though, it is but a seed. Here's to the future!

Plump helmets are mushrooms that can be grown by dwarves for food , and are perhaps the most widely popular of the six underground crops . They are edible raw, but can also be cooked in a kitchen or brewed into dwarven wine , placing them among the most versatile of crops . Because they are also very fast-growing and can grow the whole year 'round*, they are the staple food crop of many fortresses, which enjoy multiple harvests per season.
Keep in mind that cooking plants destroys their seeds, or in this case their spawn *. Both eating a plant raw and brewing it will leave seed/spawn behind, which can then be transferred to a seed bag , planted and used to grow more. Farming this crop is advisable to newer players because of the speed of growth and the easily edible result, as opposed to other crops that require plant processing and/or cooking to be edible.
