Mr Rubio Playacar is a wonderful resort and your staff is amazing. They are like family to us and we love them. Playacar is our favorite and can't wait to come back. From the moment you arrive at Playacar Palace you feel like family! The bellman are absolutely amazing! I had a piece of paper with all their names an it but I have misplaced it. Anytime we left the resort they all welcomed us back with open arms! The one that walked us to our room upon check-in (I think it was Marco) was very thorough in going through all the amenities in the room. He was not allowed to touch anything since the room had been sanitized. We ate at all the restaurants and enjoyed the food at each one! I highly recommend ordering a couple of different appetizers even if it is not something you would normally order. They were all super yummy. Gaby and Perla were our servers on the beach. They took excellent care of us! Ignacio did a wonderful job every day of getting us set up with towels and cushions on the beach. We did the bike tour with Jorge and really enjoyed this! He takes you through the neighborhood next door to see some beautiful houses! It is a very nice, relaxing ride. We attended most of the shows in the 7 nights we were there. I was absolutely amazed at how talented all of these individuals are! I have been to LeBlanc and Sun Palace and enjoyed the shows at Playacar much more than at the other 2 resorts. Angelica took great care of cleaning our room everyday and Ricardo made sure our beverages were fully stocked. He also made sure we had extra bottles of wine since we enjoyed spending the evening on the balcony drinking wine. We came here for my friend's 50th birthday. We were blown away at what all Isabel did to help surprise my friend. The surprises coming all throughout the trip! Isabel and Nalatia also did a great job helping us schedule our covid test. They made the process super easy. It broke my heart to see the occupancy so low. But I can tell you that The Palace resorts are doing an incredible job with trying to make you feel safe and comfortable during this time. Don't be afraid to visit any of their resorts! I give Playacar 5 stars! It is also very convenient to 5th Avenue which was a very short walk. We enjoyed our time there as well.…

This is a return trip for us because this resort and its employees are like family -- it is small, right on the beach, beautiful pool area, and active entertainment. From the bellhops, Manuel, Carlin, Luis, Leonardo, and Marco to the amazing pool concierge, Eider, to the waiters (Dionicio, Raul, Wilberth, Artemio Huh and Artemio Cruz, Fernando at Cafe del Mer, Porfirio at Bocellis, Miguel at Momo, to Abby in Guest Services, to the entertainment staff of Alexander, Jorge, Fania, and Xeomara, to the wonderful Ignacio, and to the lovely pool waitresses - Ana and Daniela _GRACIAS for an amazing vacation. This is certainly a difficult time for all resorts during this pandemic, but I felt so safe and protected. We were able to eat all our meals outside and served with waiters from Cafe del Mer, Boccellis, and Momo -- I am hoping that we can return again next year to see all our friends.…

What a marvelous time we had at our "tropical home." COVID 19 certainly put a spin on things, but we NEVER felt unsafe there. EVER! All were wearing masks 100% of the time. I actually felt bad for the staff at times, especially when outside working. The staff were amazing as always. From the minute you arrive, Manuel, Carlin, Luis, Leonardo, Marco, all welcome you home. Ricardo, our room service person, was so kind, personable, always wanted to make sure we had what we needed in our refrigerator and mini bar. Eder, Tania Abbi, Ignacio, Roger in the lobby bar, Felipe, Porfiro Bocellis, Antonio and Ana, Gaby, Daniella, Raul and Yesimia at breakfast and Julissa, Fernado, Olivia, Fabiola, Artemio and Artemio! Massages by Sara and Anaeli were wonderful! Hands of angels. We love playacar and all of the staff! If I could change ONE thing, it would be the afternoon music. SO loud and abrasive. Something a bit more relaxing would be nice, but I'm older. ;)…

Nice room and good service. Food are generally good except I wish they could use more premium ingredients in the japanese restaurant. For example the Hibachi dinner is a great show however the shrimp is tiny and the beef is flat iron steak instead of ribeye or fillet. No scallops which should be common for hibachi dinner. Special thanks to Bersain who is super friendly helping us taking pictures. Would recommend to others but not sure if I would come back with kids (probably would as a couple for the quiet, relaxing atmosphere).
