When playing Teen Patti, you must first select a dealer who will assist you in the conduct of the game. In addition, the chosen dealer will be the one from whom the card dealing begins and continues clockwise.
Generally, the dealer is selected based on which player draws the highest card. In fact, sometimes, each player gets the chance to become a dealer in a clockwise direction.
Upon selecting the dealer, you must place the initial wager (called ‘ante’) to form and decide on an initial pot. The ante or the boot amount is the minimum stake amount that can be put into the pot, which sits at the center of the table. The pot money grows as the game keeps on progressing.
The ante also caps the pot money in every Teen Patti round to usually 1024 times. If you are playing the game without a limit, this rule does not apply.
Once the initial pot is decided, the dealer starts dealing the cards for himself and the other players clockwise until everyone receives three cards each. The dealer will deal out the cards to each player one at a time. While dealing with the cards, the dealer must ensure that all the cards dealt initially face down.
The game begins when the person sitting on the dealer’s left-hand side (i.e., in a clockwise direction) starts acting.
In the Teen Patti game, you get the option to play ‘seen’ or ‘blind.’ The term ‘see’ refers to a player who has seen the three face-down cards before placing the initial wager, whereas ‘blind’ refers to a player who has not seen the cards before placing the initial bet.
If the player who starts acting in the game decides to play blind, they can fold and get the option to call or raise the ante to double it. If the one who starts acting in the game wishes to play seen, they can double the ante or raise it to quadruple.
The game progresses with each acting the same, folding, calling, or raising the ante while opting to play either seen or blind. Furthermore, the player’s bet amount depends on the preceding player’s current stake and whether the player is playing blind or seen.
If at least three players are left in the game, and a seen player is playing after another seen player, the current player can request a sideshow from the prior player. The sideshow request might be accepted or denied by the asked player.
If the sideshow request is accepted, the two players compare their cards, with the player holding the lower-ranking hand being forced to fold. If the hand rankings are equal, the player who requested a sideshow must fold. The betting process continues as usual if the sideshow request is denied.

When all of the player’s folds or sideshow happens, and two players are still in the game, one of them can ask for a showdown. In the event of a showdown, the two players will compare their cards, and the one with the highest-ranking hand wins the pot.
Make an alternative showdown(Optional)
An alternative showdown may occur when there is a pot limit. For example, if the pot limit is 1024 times the minimum stake amount set at the start of the game, all players must display their cards whenever they reach this pot limit.
