Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join an international project focused on AWS infrastructure modernization, Kubernetes upgrades, and high-availability migrations.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing production environments, performing infrastructure upgrades, and executing complex migrations without downtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and modernize AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
* Perform Amazon EKS upgrades and database migrations without service interruption.
* Automate infrastructure operations using Ansible and Bash.
* Maintain Kubernetes environments and upgrade GitLab, Nexus, and Vault.
* Ensure infrastructure reliability, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
* 3+ years working with AWS Infrastructure as Code in production.
* Strong experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, AWS EKS, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
* Experience with PostgreSQL administration, backup, and restore.
* Knowledge of Helm, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Prometheus/Grafana, and Velero.
* Experience upgrading self-hosted GitLab, Nexus, and Vault.
* Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting skills.
* Full technical autonomy.
* Fluent Portuguese and English.
Critical Mandatory Experience:
Candidates must have hands-on production experience with BOTH:
1. Amazon EKS upgrades performed without downtime.
2. Database migrations to High Availability (HA) architectures performed without downtime.
These are essential requirements. Experience limited to CI/CD, standard deployments, or infrastructure provisioning is not sufficient.
