Pixelify Troubleshooting and FAQ

Features requirements -

1) Google photos unlimited backup :

Requirements

• Magisk version greater than or equal to 24.0
• Zygisk should be enabled

2) Google assistant voice typing :

Requirements

• Android version greater than or equal to 12.0
• Selected Next Generation Assistant and Android system intelligence 'Yes'
• Primary language of Gboard, Google, System should be same (en-US/jp-JP)
• Google assistant version should be end with .29 (xx.xx.29) and variant must be Android 10+

3) Google assistant continued conversation :

Requirements

• System, google app language should be en-US (There might be some more native language that supports this feature)
• Google assistant variant must be Android 10+

Note: Some custom roms internally spoof (mostly in android 11) to pixel 3 XL which break this feature

4.1) Call screening (Eng) / Hold for Me (Eng) / Direct my Call (Eng) :

Requirements

• Google dialer must be installed and at least opened once before installation
• Selected Google dialer features 'Yes'
• System language should be en-US.

Note: Don't clear data after/before installation only clear if you aren't getting option then only clear data of google dialer open it and wait 5-10 sec and then force-stop dialer.

4.2) Call screening (Other supported languages) / Hold for Me (Eng) / Direct my Call (Eng) :

Requirements

• Google dialer must be installed
• Selected Google dialer features 'Yes'
• System language should same as native language before installation.

Note: Clear data after installation

FAQ -

It's not asking for choosing spoofing to pixel 5/pixel 6 XL?

• Magisk 24 above auto spoof with combination of pixel 5 and pixel 6

What is internal spoofing?

• When Custom rom spoofs to pixel devices particular apps (PixelPropUtils) to enable some features

Which roms is best for pixelify?

• Roms with internal spoofing create limitations to spoofing done by pixelify, so i recommend to use roms without internal spoofing and latest android version.

Does internal spoofing causes problem with pixelify?

• For some cases 'Yes', pixelify spoofing is similar to what internal spoofing, but each roms choose it own what device its to spoof when can cause problems. (eg:- Google play services is spoofed to Pixel 6 Pro, it gives Speech services which only works for Tensor devices for others it breaks Transcription, Continued Conversation, Direct my Call and more...)

Do I need to installed pixel spoof props along with it?

• No

Which is most compatible rom?

• Roms which doesn't use pixel internal spoofing are most compatible roms

How do I install without volume keys?

• Download version with _no-vk.zip
• copy no-vk.prop to /sdcard/Pixelify
• Edit according to your option needs

Which Android rom it supports?

• Currently, Android 7.0 to Android 13 are supported

Where I can find installation logs?

• installation and boot service logs are saved at /sdcard/Pixelify/logs.txt

How can I delete backup?

• backups can be found at /sdcard/Pixelify/backups/
• To delete all Remove folder named /sdcard/Pixelify/backup and /sdcard/Pixelify/version
• To delete particular backup delete files are follows on same folders are mention above
• dp-xx - Android System intelligence, xx is sdk version
• nga - Next Generation assistance files
• pl-xx - Pixel Launcher, xx is sdk version
• pixel - Pixel Live Wallpapers
• callscreen-xx - Cal screening files, xx is language code

How do I completely uninstall Pixelify?

• Due to some magisk uninstall.sh limitation whole pixelify cannot be removed by automatically.
• To remove completely clear data of Google play services and Google Dialer and then reboot.

Pixelify module automatically selecting Vol Down and Vol Up

• Please download module without _no-vk.zip

Caller cannot hear assistant voice

• It arises due incompatible audio hal or some other missing device specific stuff

• Make sure your system language set correctly
• set Wi-Fi to unmetered connection and force-stop Google dialer

Google dialer Loading / Not supported popup

• It's just message you can ignore or
• Use Google dialer version (can download with apkmirror) without suffix 2021pixel

Next generation assistant not showing

• Make sure you have right google app package (check in requirement)
• Check Google default language set it to en-US
• clear data

Next generation assistant typing not working

• Make sure all requirements are done
• All permission are granted to Google app, Gboard, Android System Intelligence
• Reboot is also an good option

Google app crashing

• Grant all permission to google app

Weather not showing in Pixel Launcher At a Glance

• Grant all permission to Android System Intelligence
• Disable weather in At a glance setting then enable it.

Quick Phrase

• Language should be en-US
• Try reselecting main account in google app
• Grant Alarms and remainder permission if on android 12+
• Reboot after above steps
• Use rom which doesn't use internal spoofing
• We are still trying to improve it.

Hey Google not available on this device

• Your Google app should be system app and with all permission granted
• Select 'Yes' on Next generation assistant while installing

Hey Google not available on for this language

• Flash Ok_Google_Hotword.zip (android 11+) you can find it on telegram group

Activating Hey Google says error occurred while setting up

• It's arises due internal spoofing of rom (Google play services to Pixel 6 Pro)
• Clear data of google app, set Ok Google from Google app> Settings > Voice without triggering assistant

Continued conversation option gone after playstore update

• Clear data of playstore and check update version variant is android 10+
• if not then install android 10+ and make it system app

Quick phrase and continued conversation option are there but not working

• Google text to speech should be installed and permission must be granted
• Open Google app->settings->voice->offline speech recognition->Installed (Eng US)
• Click on en-US if it shows version 7xxx, then uninstall update to language
• Mismatch to language pack version is arises due to rom internal spoofing. 7xxx is version exclusive for Tensor chip, where as normal version should be 5xxx. so if your version is 7xxx then please dont update language pack then reboot.

Call Screening no transcription

• Google text to speech should be installed and permission must be granted
• Open Google app->settings->voice->offline speech recognition->Installed (Eng US)
• Click on en-US if it shows version 7xxx, then uninstall update to language
• Mismatch to language pack version is arises due to rom internal spoofing. 7xxx is version exclusive for Tensor chip, where as normal version should be 5xxx. so if your version is 7xxx then please don't update language pack then reboot.

Google Recorder doesn't record

• Click on profile > Recorder Settings > Microphone
• set it to Phone Mic.

Google Recorder doesn't transcript

• Google text to speech should be installed and permission must be granted
• Open Google app->settings->voice->offline speech recognition->Installed (Eng US)
• Click on en-US if it shows version 7xxx, then uninstall update to language
• Mismatch to language pack version is arises due to rom internal spoofing. 7xxx is version exclusive for Tensor chip, where as normal version should be 5xxx. so if your version is 7xxx then please don't update language pack then reboot.

Cannot select text on from recents of pixel launcher

• Android system should be installed as system app and all permission must be granted
• Try to connect Wi-Fi and set it to unmetered connection.
• According to logs it arises due to Android system intelligence not download Text classifier superpack maybe due to some internal missing permission

Not able to download Live Translate / Live Captions

• Well, Reason is still need to find out. A half fix it to use pixel5 version of Android system intelligence for live caption
• Change your custom rom

Can't see Google san font

• If you rom has option to change fonts then select Gsan Overlay to get Google sans font
• Otherwise download third party rooted font changer and then select Gsan overlay

Music is lagging while playing

• Disable Now playing on incompatible devices it can break sound trigger which can cause this issue

At a Glance not showing in lock screen

• Due to your rom doesn't have code for it

Quick Tap doesn't get enabled

• Due to your rom doesn't have code for it

Quick Tap not working

• Your device not supports it by google's implementation method

Magic Eraser not showing

• Well, we will need logs to resolve it.
• It might be due to some permission issue or selinux denial.

Smart Compose / grammar check not working

• Set language to en-US and force-stop
• Make sure Android system Intelligence is installed
• If still not working, clear data
