PixelOS Flashing Guide
puhbu• Before flashing this ROM, make sure you are on OS2.0.206.0.VOOMIXM (global).
This guide assumes you already know the basics such as installing the USB drivers, platform-tools and you already have the bootloader unlocked.
Step 1: Download boot.img and vendor_boot.img from the Download link and flash them to your device:
- fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step 2: Reboot to recovery. Please do NOT run "fastboot reboot recovery", if the boot images are somehow corrupted or not properly made, you'll brick. Instead, do "fastboot reboot" and just hold volume up.
Step 3: After getting in Recovery, firstly make sure to Format Data, by going to the "Factory Reset" menu and clicking "Format Data". DO NOT format data after flashing the rom, as it can cause issues, always do it before flashing it (by after, i mean just as you flashed the rom, it is safe to format after booting the ROM)
Step 4: Time to flash the ROM, go to Apply Update -> ADB Sideload, then on your PC run: "adb sideload rom.zip" example: "adb sideload pixelos...-UNOFFICIAL-malachite.zip" and wait for the ROM to finish flashing.
Step 5: When the ROM finishes flashing, it will prompt you to reboot to Recovery for additional packages, here you must select NO, and just reboot! That's it!
PixelOS already has GApps, so don't flash that.
