π PixelDays News #2
Telegram channel: @pixel_daysOver the past week, there have been many changes in our community that have affected the mechanics of the site and our community. I also suggest discussing future innovations with you on our website.
β’ At the request of many players, a minimap has been added to PixelDays. Initially, we planned to leave only 1 main canvas, but later we came to the conclusion that a minimap would also not be superfluous.
β’ Added a mode for viewing chunks. Press the V key and you will see which chunks have been filled in/untouched. The feature was also added at the request of the players, because there were complaints about high CD in places where it would seem that no one painted.
β’ The brushes have also undergone minor visual changes. If there is a need to enlarge the brushes in the future, we will make a custom size where you can enter the brush size at your discretion (for some, a 7x7 brush seems small). And that's why we'll make sure that even when you're busy at the IRL, you can log in, spend your entire CD stock with a single click and go on with your business.
β’ The code was refactored and some bugs were fixed that we hadn't gotten to yet. From now on, the site will work more stably, even on weak phones/PCs.
β’ At the moment, we are actively working on the fraction system and the processing of statistics. Fractions will be implemented soon and will allow people to choose a tag and affiliation. A lot of people paint through VPN (due to restrictions in Russia), and therefore we will rework the statistics and make them more reliable, including taking into account the pixels colored by fractions, where the activity of each participant will also benefit the statistics of the fraction. In the future, this will be encouraged and in-game buns and small advantages will be given for it.
β’ We will also add inventory in the future. The functionality and mechanics will remain a secret for now, but we will provide more detailed information before the release of this feature.
β’ In the near future, when the online market grows and the map of Europe is filled in, we will introduce a reduced CD outside of Europe. Don't worry, CD will remain the same in Europe, but it will be lowered in other parts of the world, which will motivate countries to build their colonies and virtual countries in the future. Also, thanks to this, more art and art will appear on our canvas, which will give artists more opportunities to realize their creativity. The system will work in chunks, where there will be a distinction between reduced CD and regular CD.
If you have any ideas/suggestions on what can be added or implemented, I am waiting for your opinions in the comments or in the BOS.
Thank you for choosing us!
