This policy explains how the Pitaka mobile app ("Pitaka", "the app", "we") handles your information. Pitaka is a personal budgeting and money-planning tool. It is designed to work without collecting personal data.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal or sensitive user data. Pitaka has no user accounts, does not ask for your name, email or phone number, and does not connect to your bank or any financial institution.

Information stored on your device

The expenses, categories and amounts you enter, and your app preferences, are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

Device permissions

Pitaka does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, photos, files, SMS, call log or phone number.

Third parties

Pitaka contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and does not transfer data to third parties. The app is distributed through Google Play; Google may process information about your download and device under its own Privacy Policy.

Financial information

Calculators, tools and articles in Pitaka are for planning and education only. Pitaka does not provide, arrange or recommend loans or other financial products, and does not collect financial account information.

Children

Pitaka is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Because your data stays on your device, its protection relies on your device's security features. We recommend using a screen lock.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
