Masturbation, for many people, is a thing that they do not feel like talking often. However, it is not a bad thing. Many people have different beliefs about masturbation, as well as difficulty knowing how to do it. If you do know how, it can become monotonous leaving you unsatisfied. It is also important to note that there are many things that you can masturbate with and they do not have to penetrate.
First thing first, although it is commonly done and usually safe, there are a few precautions that you want to use.
A bathroom faucet is one of the things you can use to masturbate with; however, it is not referring to the sink or tub faucets, rather it means the jet spray or removable shower head. They are great for stimulating your clitoris. You can sit or stand as you do this, plus you have the ability to control the force of the water so that you get just the right pressure for an orgasm.
When using the shower head or jet spray, remember to aim the water at the top of your clitoris, not the opening. Getting water in the opening may cause an infection. You also want to be sure to wash the sprayer before you use and pee when you are done. These precautions will help you avoid bacterial infections.
A pillow is actually a great tool for masturbation. It is soft and flexible making it easy to hit the right spot. You can rub it between your legs or directly against your clitoris for the perfect orgasm.
Make sure you stop when you begin to notice irritation to avoid any damage. It is also highly recommended that you dedicate a pillow specifically for this purpose to help prevent any infections.
Among the list of great things to masturbate with is the electric toothbrush. This is another item which allows for extra vibration sensation. It is best to remove the bristle end, if possible and cover with a condom. The condom will help the ease of use. You can then rub on your clitoris or insert into your vagina for an orgasmic stimulation.
It is important that you do not use the bristled end of the toothbrush as you can hurt yourself. You also want to make sure that toothbrush is dedicated solely to masturbating, use a different one to brush your teeth.
Your hands do not have any cost to them, and are not as intimidating as other items. You are also in complete control of your hands. Using one or two fingers will be your best bet if you are just starting out. Move your fingers around and find which orifices you are comfortable having penetrated or you can stay on the exterior locations.
Using your hands is a great way to find the best spots for creating orgasms and makes it easier when you are trying to help your partner find that perfect spot. Do not be afraid to experiment with different amounts of pressure, directions, and locations.
The washing machine vibrates on the spin cycle making it one of the most interesting things to masturbate with. Simply sit on the machine and allow the vibration to help you masturbate. You can also spread your legs and rub against it while it is vibrating to achieve an orgasm.
It does require practice to ensure you are not injured. Make sure you sit so that you will not fall off while it is vibrating. You also want to make sure you sanitize it prior to and after masturbating.
A banana is one of the most common things to masturbate with among boys. You can either peel the banana or cut off one end and squeeze the fruit out; either way eat the banana so that you do not leave any traces. Clean out the skin and fill with your favorite lubrication.
Then, you can either wrap the skin around your penis or insert your penis into the end that you cut off. Proceed to masturbate. The skin will give you a different sensation than your hand and you will have a receptacle for your cum.
Melons are actually the most popular of homemade masturbation toys for men. Once you have your melon, but a hole in one side that fits the circumference of your penis. (Do not over exaggerate as it will not work properly.) Next, hollow out some of the melon so that your penis fits inside the melon.
Then, on the opposite side cut a pencil sized hole to adjust the amount of suction. As you pump the melon, place a finger over the hole while you are masturbating to increase the suction.
Find a cup that is large and long enough to fit your erectile. Then, get two sponges wet with warm water and place inside the cup. You want each sponge to fill about half the cup.
When you are ready to begin masturbating, squirt lubricant into the cup, then place your penis between the two sponges. Now you have a homemade vagina to help you masturbate. Be sure that you use enough lube though so that you do not rub it raw.
Use that toilet paper roll that only has one sheet left in a new and creative way. Most of the time a toilet paper roll is just the right size to accommodate most men and among the top five things to masturbate with for men. You can also use a paper towel roll or wrapping paper rolls if you need a different size.
Place a condom inside the tube flipping the open end over the edge of the tube. Secure the excess condom to the tube by using tape or a rubber band. Fill the condom with lubricant and begin to masturbate. You can hold it with your hand or place it between your couch cushions.
You need a Ziploc bag, scissors, and lubricant for this. Then, follow the steps below to create a masturbation technique that simulates real sex.

While to some, golden showers are the butt of a Donald Trump joke, to others, they are an extremely erotic experience. Golden showers are one form of piss play , which is exactly what it sounds like: sexual play involving piss. Though they may seem easy to make fun of because most of us grew up with bathroom humor, we should probably be nicer when it comes to the topic of golden showers because a lot of people are into them, and kink-shaming isn't cool .
Some people engage in golden showers as part of BDSM . BDSM involves a power exchange in which one partner is submissive and the other partner is dominant. In this particular scenario, the dominant partner typically pees on the submissive. Other people just try them out because they're horny and bored. Let's talk about all the reasons people love golden showers and what you should know if you're interested in trying out this particular kink.
This particular kink is actually incredibly ordinary, according to the experts. "Urophilia — golden showers, piss play, and the like — is such a common kink that there are piss parties full of folks who want to explore this," says New York sex therapist and relationship counselor Michael DeMarco . New York City-based professional and lifestyle dominatrix Goddess Aviva adds, "It’s so common! People love to be peed on. And quite a few of them also like to drink it." In fact, an Australian survey says that around four percent of men have a piss play fetish, and Pornhub stats show that searches for "golden shower" (along with related terms) increased exponentially in 2017 after it was alleged that Donald Trump enjoyed watersports.
There are also quite a few online communities for folks to go who are interested in golden showers. In fact, the "watersports" (another name for piss play) group on the kinky social media website FetLife boasts over 25,000 members. Additionally, there are dating apps and websites specifically tailored to folks looking to find other kinky people to hook up with, including KinkD , BDSM.com , Fetster.com , and more.
Any time you are exchanging bodily fluids, there is going to be some risk. According to Kimberly Langdon, an OB/GYN and clinical advisor at Medzino Health , it's only true that urine is sterile if the person peeing is completely healthy. "Urine can spread disease, including bacterial, fungal, and viral infections," she explains. During a golden shower, this most commonly occurs if the recipient has an open wound.
"Regarding skin contact , urine will usually cause no harm if there are no fissures, broken skin or open wounds," Langdon adds. "If this is, however, the case, then urine can cause infection if the partner urinating has a bacterial infection and the urine comes into contact with wounds and mucous membranes."
So, if you're enjoying golden showers with someone whose health status you are unsure of, make sure there are no open wounds on you, and ask them to aim somewhere besides the mouth, such as on your stomach. Discuss your health with your partner; professional dominatrixes are already on it.
"With anything where you're sharing bodily fluid, you need to make sure that you’re not sick or have any kind of infection. It’s also really important to hydrate. The other factor that you should consider, is how close you are to someone’s mouth. A way to avoid that is to be above them," Goddess Aviva says.
First off, the person performing the golden shower will probably want to drink a lot of water an hour or so beforehand. Like, a lot. It's also important to pick the right place — golden showers probably shouldn't take place in your bed. "If you’re curious about golden showers, an easy way to do it is to be in the shower or bath. And if you’re not really into it, you can rinse it off right away," Goddess Aviva says.
Once you've figured out where it's going to happen (and who it's going to happen with), make sure that all parties know what the plan is and are fully consenting. Consent is the most important part of any sex act, after all. Have everything you want for clean-up nearby, and everyone should have a safe word ready, too.
Remember what we've discussed above — that urine isn't sterile, and that the person receiving the golden shower shouldn't have any open cuts or sores. If this checks out, then you're good to go, but be patient, especially if it's the first time trying this for either of you. Lastly, when you're all done, clean off, and if you feel like it, keep the fun going .
Other than clean-up and potential risks from fluid exchange, should this be something you want to try, you just have to make peace with your desire to try giving or receiving a golden shower and then discuss it with your partner(s) so you can experience one from a place of mutual enthusiastic consent.
"Owning your sexual expression from the get-go will put you on more solid ground once you're in a relationship to be able to have awkward or challenging talks about sexuality and how your sexual expression might evolve," Langdon says. Now that you know all about piss play, there's only one thing left to do if you want to try it for yourself — go find a partner who is into it, too. Happy kink month , babes.

12. Remind yourself that masturbation is a healthy form of self-care
The young person’s guide to conquering (and saving) the world. Teen Vogue covers the latest in celebrity news, politics, fashion, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and entertainment.
Wondering how to masturbate better? If you have a penis, you may think that masturbation is pretty straightforward and doesn’t require a comprehensive guide. But this is giving very little credit to the art of masturbation and the multitude of paths you can take, regardless of specific genitalia involved.
As we spelled out in our guide on how to masturbate if you have a vagina , there’s always room to learn when it comes to how to masturbate better. Although there’s not, to be clear, a “correct” way to get yourself off, there are bound to be some masturbation techniques you haven’t tried yet. And that’s likely true no matter how long you’ve been doing it for — which could be awhile!
Studies show that, on average, regular masturbation tends to kick off in teens around the age of 12 or 13 , with some people starting much sooner (including as young children ) and others a bit later on. Being curious about your body and how to pleasure yourself isn’t just common. It’s a totally safe, natural and — not to bury the lede here — enjoyable way to explore what you like and your relationship to your own body.
Masturbation is a healthy practice and you should in no way feel ashamed for wanting to engage in it.
Everyone can benefit from some masturbation tips and guidelines to better master self-love — it’s not like you’re going to learn about this stuff in school. So let’s get started! In this article, you’ll learn all about penis masturbation techniques, how to switch up your stroke, and some of our favorite tips for reaching orgasm.
Before we get into the ins and outs of how to masturbate, let's talk about why it can be good for your health . Not only is it totally natural to masturbate, but it can also help you reduce stress, get better sleep, improve your body image, and more, according to Planned Parenthood .
We know that orgasms are great for releasing a rush of mood-boosting neurochemicals , like oxytocin, dopamine and endorphins, to the brain. But did you know that masturbating can help increase your body’s production of prolactin , a hormone that helps regulate your immune system, too? And as an added bonus, there's no chance of contracting STIs, unwanted pregnancy, or any of the other risks involved in partnered sex. So, despite it being seen as taboo or, at best, a punchline in some sex-negative corners of society, there are so many reasons why masturbating is an extremely healthy thing to do.
More than that, a solid masturbation session also helps you figure out what you like sexually and what you're comfortable with, which is why knowing how to touch yourself is a good idea regardless of whether you’re having partnered sex . The self-knowledge it brings is going to be a key component of your future sex life, and it can make you better able to communicate what you want and what you don't — which is an important part of consent . That could be one reason why embracing solo sex has been linked to a higher likelihood of having positive sexual experiences later in life.
To get things started, use your hand to find a rhythm you love. Finding your rhythm when you masturbate takes time and practice. Some people enjoy rapid strokes, some enjoy slower strokes, and others like a variety when it comes to reaching orgasm. (In general, though, you’re going to want to start out with slower strokes before building to a faster pace, if that is your intent.) There is no limit to the ways you can use your hand to explore your penis. When in doubt, stay consistent until you find what works for you.
Finding the best way to masturbate is not a one-size-fits-all thing, and what feels good today can potentially change over time. You may find, for instance, that a stroke you liked at one point makes way for something else in the future. That’s totally normal. Enjoy some variety in each masturbation session, using varied strokes or switching hands (you can try using both hands at once, too). It’s also a good idea to switch things up on occasion so that you don’t get overly accustomed to reaching orgasm in one way only; this can help keep you responsive and flexible for current or future sexual partners!
Looking for a new stroke to try? You can do things like grasp the base of your penis while, with your other hand, stimulating the super-sensitive head with your palm or fingers; more loosely grasping your penis and, with your thumb of the same hand, applying a bit more pressure to the underside of your shaft as you move up and down; or doing a twisting and pulling motion, kind of like your hand is a corkscrew. There’s a near-unlimited number of ways to experiment with strokes, so keep going until you find a handful (pun this time not intended) that work for you!
Masturbation doesn’t need to be this super fast, shameful thing you do in the dark corner of your bedroom.
Regardless of what you’ve seen on popular television shows and in movies, masturbation doesn’t need to be this super fast, shameful thing you do in the dark corner of your bedroom. It doesn’t need to be a race to finish if you don’t want it to be.
Sure, locking the door adds privacy, which can help set the mood, but what you’re doing isn’t shameful or bad. Set some time to actually enjoy the process of learning how to masturbate. Don’t rush it. Listen to your body and see what feels good for you. Find the erogenous zones that work best for you. Do you prefer stimulation at the head of the penis? The base?
Everybody is different, and every person enjoys different things. If you learn what you like, you will be more fully equipped for interpersonal sexual experiences down the road, which will help you enjoy a healthier sex life .
Need more incentive to take your time? Edging — or the practice of getting yourself close to orgasm but stopping just before you reach it, and doing this three or four times before finishing — makes for a more sensation-filled orgasm for some people. Whether you edge or simply find other ways to tease yourself, allowing yourself to drag out and savor your solo session may make its ending more satisfying.
If you’re wondering how to masturbate better, there’s a good chance lube could be missing from your life. The friction of your hand directly on your penis for a prolonged period of time is not a particularly good feeling. The right lube is important for all sex acts, from masturbation to intercourse.
