The Great Pirate is open world NSFW game, where you sail in Caribbean sea searching for adventure: fight ships, visit cities: improve your ship, take missions from characters, build your fame and relations with present countries.
At the end of day (or actually end of your days) you are measured by your impact on this world.
You start in a middle of the see and sail wherever you want: to closest port, to the point most far away from land, to Spain city, or to pirate city. Everytime you start cities and seas stay the same, however characters and their missions are generated randomly.
Your goal should be to get famous, get good relations with at least one country to be able to take mayor's (or maybe even governor's) missions. Also filling requests from ladies in any city will help you get some other rewards (if you know what I mean).
I invested much of my research time and development efforts on building and balancing turn based ship battles. When facing enemy you should consider their strength, number of cannons and crew available to reload them, ship's speed and maneuverability (hate to spell this word).
Your damage done to the ship’s hull / sails / cannons or crew is determined by distance between ships, your shooting angle and your orders to target.
During your turn you can decide to shoot or give navigational commands. In navigation you can decide to get to better shooting angle, do evasive maneuvers (to worsen enemy's shooting angle), get closer or more far away.
In my opinion AI is rather dull now, but I was afraid to do it more sophisticated without seeing player’s reaction - let me know if you find it too easy.
There are several different types of missions designed now, few of them available only to regular people, few can be given by mayor, and few by governor only. You should get enough fame to get mayors attention. And mayor can help you build better relations with his country by giving letter of marque. Letter of marque - a license to fit out an armed vessel and use it in the capture of enemy ships and to commit acts which would otherwise have constituted piracy. And when you will be liked in particular country, the governor may see you.
Every time you launch a game, it generates new set of characters. But only 14 of them has NSFW content related to them. So you have to meet the right females (when you meet a girl with real face - you probably want to help her more than these faceless characters).

i lose my first fight every time. What am i missing that the developer thinks the design is too easy?
it could be unfortunate start, meeting a bit more powerfull opponent than you. I would recommend avoiding fight with someone with more guns then you.
 - get into best possible shooting angle (Excellent or Perfect; Good works too);
- try avoiding enemy getting in Good+ shooting angle then he has loaded all cannons by using evasive maneuvers;
- try targeting the most vulnerable part of their ship (ships surrender with hull or sails below 20% or having 1 cannon left). Targeting crew reduces enemy's reloading speed, targeting sails reduces their maneuverability, less cannons = less hits on you.
I hope this will help you with few quick wins.
And on v1.2 I'm working that first battles would be predefined with weaker opponents.

I currently have an android 12 but it always crashes the file for some reason at first i thought it was lack of storage but ive deleted tons of apps so i have tons of storage left but everytime i keep trying to open the file it wont do anything

I was lost to find the events, I played for hours and didn't find the events of the "owners" of the bars, if possible try to put some indicator for the missions and a quest list. What is the cheat?

Can't install it for android... I try it at google drive and mediafire but still same like this..i download it 2,70GB and file is 2,56GB..and its my first time i cannot install this game..i wanna try it at mega but i dont waste my quota
If you have Android in versions prior to 10 it will not work. I don't know if it's your case.

Hi, I was wondering which version you're planning to add the NTR disable option. Also will it be for the entire game or selectable for each girl? (I'm ok with it but too much hurts so wondering how much I'd be getting into.)
I plan to add it more or less in version 0.1.2. I don't know how long that is, but I guess about 6 months, it all depends on how much support I get on patreon.
i won't question people who enjoy NTR content but please add tag for that.
The Mac version still isn't working even with WinRar. It might just be an issue with M1 macs but the app only has the file name "Game" when decompressed and even running it as administrator you get the message "This application cannot be opened"
Until bugs would be solved, I would recommend trying to play it through your phone , or even create a virtual machine on your PC.

First of all, The game is excellent. I had real good team playing it, at first it was a bit hard understanding the mission, but then I got it. I really cant wait for new updates and new events,
I am upset that there is no option to have conversation between Lucy&Henry so they will talk to each other, about what they did today, and decide to tell if they cheated or not.
Other than that game is great, still some bugs to duplicate money on Lucy memories with the photographer.
Wow tysm for your comment! I will note your suggestion about making Lucy and Henry talk more with each other and I will implement it at some point. Soon you will have the v.0.0.3 that will have a lot of improvements, such like a quest system so you don't get lost while playing!

this game does not work for mac im assuming its because it is still a .rar file
try to have winrar installed or zip, then you will get the option to unzip

When I try to open the .rar file I keep on getting a notification that says "There is no application set to open the document" and then the name. What do I do to open it?

Did not download it already, but if it is made in python, you just need to open the game.sh in terminal, for playing it on linux
so far my experiance was fumbling around a city with no guidance worked at a bar witch for some reason gave me over 2 millon gold .... first few seconds of the game i had to close repeatedly  as it would not play the starting scene cant read books for the bar so dont know how im getting paid for serving the same drink all the time :) but hey it was a funny experiance i think i broke the game more then i played it XD 
I just uploaded a version fixed all the bugs found.

Developer speaking. Currently reaching 20,000 does not unlock anything new.
For version 0.0.3 there will be a mission system which will make the game much easier to avoid those stucks!
a) female protag is rare, so that's super fkn cool b) please try using another file sharing website other than mega, it has download limits which kinda suck and also its not the fastest; i'd recommend mediafire or google drive could work better :3

How much playtime is there as the female protag?
At the moment the girl and the boy have the same playtime, in this game you can change between characters and choose which you want to play. I recommend playing both as they have their own scenes.

For a first build this game is very well done, reminds me a lot of Bawdy Traditions. One piece of constructive criticism, there isn't really a clear path to get to each NSFW event so maybe some sort of hint system to help progress to them. I'm not sure how RPGM works so I'm not sure if that's even possible lol. Regardless, keep up the good work! :)
I love this type of comments! I see that some people have trouble with the game playability and don't know where to go or what to do at certain point, I'm working on changing this for the next version and make it easier for the player to find everything and understand the game easily.

In order to make the animations work in RPG Maker, they need to be a gif and that makes the game heavier, I could try to compress the gif images and share the game with one less GB for the next update.
That would be nice, with Icon I mean the "windows", "mac" and "Linux" logos/Icons that are placed next to the download.. but since they are labeled it is minor
