A fourth porn actor has reported testing positive for HIV, increasing concern that there is an outbreak among adult entertainment performers.
Two performers - Cameron Bay and Rod Daily - have come forward and announced that they tested positive, but the third individual who was infected has remained anonymous.
A moratorium is ongoing on shooting in the adult film industry following the news of a fourth performer testing positive for the disease.
Diagnosed: Rod Daily, 32, announced via Twitter that he was recently diagnosed with HIV
Michael Weinstein, president of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation told the LA Times , that a fourth porn star had contacted the organization.
Mr Weinstein said: 'We were approached by a male performer who told us he had tested positive' but declined to give further details.
The adult film industry is considering increasing the frequency with which its stars take HIV tests from 28 to 14 days however a decision is yet to be made.
Radar Online reported that 'a dozen female performers have been quarantined as a result of exposure'.
After Cameron Bay came out as being infected, a brief moratorium was issued that stopped all productions of pornographic films, but that was lifted just days later.
When Rod Daily announced via Twitter that he had tested positive for HIV less than two weeks after Bay made her announcement, he advocated for further precautions to be taken.
'Drumroll please!! I'm 32 years old and I'm HIV positive. Acute HIV, which means I recently was infected. For that I am blessed,' Daily wrote on Twitter last Tuesday.
'I'm blessed for the fact that I caught it so early that I can blast that s*** with meds.
'With the tests I have done the doctors have figured out that I was infected within the last month...My antibodies just showed up on a test this week which is scary because they didn't a week ago,' he said in two other tweets.
A trade group representing producers of pornographic movies in Los Angeles called on any of Daily's sexual partners to be tested for the virus.
Positive attitude: Daily, who has been in the adult film industry for eight years, said that hopefully this will encourage porn stars to wear condoms
Out in the open: Daily announced his positive diagnosis on Twitter last week
The group said it could not yet confirm whether Daily truly had contracted the human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, but it warned his partners to be tested.
The Free Speech Coalition were the ones to confirm on August 22 that the actress who goes by the name of Cameron Bay was also infected with HIV.
Daily has been linked romantically to Bay on the adult film industry website XBiz.com.
California Assemblyman Isadore Hall, who has been trying for months to get a bill passed in the state Assembly mandating the use of condoms in sex scenes, said Daily's reported infection shows the need for such a regulation.
'This is the second individual within a week and a half to contract HIV in the industry,' said Hall, a Democrat. 'There will probably be more.'
The multibillion-dollar adult film industry is centered in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.
Distraught: Cameron Bay's agent says his client, whose recent HIV diagnosis has brought the porn industry to a standstill, is 'distraught' over the news
Risk: Xander Corvus, left, who played Weiner in the movie with Sydney Leathers, had unprotected sex with Cameron Bay, right, a few weeks ago - who has just been told she has HIV
Debut: Sydney Leathers porn movie was released yesterday where she stars alongside Xander Corvus
The industry has vigorously opposed efforts to require condom use on set, protesting against a 2012 voter-approved measure requiring condoms to be used in Los Angeles County and successfully arguing against an earlier effort for such regulation at the state level that would be specifically geared to film productions.
The Free Speech Coalition said in an email to Reuters that Daily acted in gay and transsexual sex movies in which condoms were used.
After Bay tested positive, production was shut down for about a week.
Medical signs: Daily said that the test suggests he contracted HIV in the past month
But as of early evening last Tuesday, no order to cease shooting sex scenes had been issued.
In a series of Twitter postings, Daily cited this brief moratorium as an example of how the industry is unwilling to change- to the detriment of it's actors.
'That does not change anything though. A week later people are back at it shooting without condoms.
'I have also learned that people can be so well medicated that they test negative. Scary, the test everyone relies on.
'Magic Johnson has HIV, and can infect other people but his test comes up negative. Is that so impossible for anyone else to do the same? NO.
'Just sayin be careful because that test ain't shit without a condom strapped up with it.'
Daily appears to be taking a positive approach to the news, staying optimistic by saying: 'Had to pinch myself a few times no doubt. But the sun still shines on my face and its warm. Can't take my heart ever. I love life, blessed.'
'I felt bad for the guy who had to read me my first test result. His face turned to stone, I wanted to give him a hug and say it will be ok.'
Bay's scare resonated outside of the porn industry, as it was revealed that she had recently had sex with the male performer who later appeared in a video starring Sydney Leathers, disgraced congressman Anthony Weiner's sexting partner.

Blac Chyna isn't the only public figure dealing with a sex tape scandal this week.
Judging from a recent video that began making the rounds on social media, Black Ink Crew cast member Donna Lombardi was allegedly recorded having sex in a public bathroom stall, and based on her reaction to the drama, she's not upset that the video leaked.
Lombardi, who seems to have a reputation for living a fluid life despite being in a committed relationship, was taped bent over a public toilet, having sex with a man standing behind her.
While she was dragged all over social media for the clip, which showed her smile at the camera, seemingly indicating that she was aware she was being recorded, she seems unbothered by the hate.
In fact, she took to Instagram, recently, where she posted a selfie with the caption, "Ya favorite h*e."
After all of this, however, she took to Instagram Live to deny that she was having sex in the public restroom.

Given the societal climate of 1949, “Pinky”, with its subject of race relations, was seen as a controversial film. Fast forward to the 21st century, and the movie’s topic is just as relevant and the portrayals are still thought provoking. Starring the lily-white Jeanne Crain, she plays a light skin African American who went north for school. There she learned she could “pass” and had little trouble moving about in society. She returns home to visit her grandmother and is reminded – to her disdain and discomfort – of the restrictiveness and unwritten rules that her community must endure. The movie dramatically shows how people’s attitudes and treatment of Pinky – both black and white – change in an instant once they learn of her true heritage. Movie viewers of the time were more aghast at how their favorite actress (Crain) was being treated, and not so much how her character – a fair skin African American – was being treated. Eventually, savvy (white) viewers began to realize that what was being done to Crain/Pinky was representative of what was being done to African Americans in the real world. Ethel Waters also had a major role, playing Pinky’s grandmother. Though some will say she was playing to stereotypes, it should be remembered that there were – and still are – economic divides and she was portraying a character in an area that limited opportunities for African Americans. With that said, no doubt the very capable Waters would have enjoyed playing a character from the other side of the divide! The grand dame of the Barrymore family, also named Ethel, played a cantankerous old lady in the latter days of her life. She was raised in a more divided culture than Pinky, but is wise enough to know that times are changing. She won’t live long enough to see the results of change, but she is able to hasten it through Pinky (you have to watch the movie to see how!). As controversial as this film was in 1949, it would have been interesting if someone like Lena Horne or Dorothy Dandridge was given the Pinky role. Furthermore, I wonder if this storyline could be told today with an actress who is of mixed heritage. Would it carry the same message? For full effect it would have to be an unknown actress. The “is she” or “isn’t she” would be real. “Pinky” was one of the most successful films of 1949. It did very well at the box office, and Crain, Waters, and Barrymore all received Oscar nominations. Its lasting impact was not only evoking conversation in 1949, but also stimulating conversation today. It’s a good case study of the perceptions of race.

must confess that I am not fond of watching movies that has to do with racism because it makes me uncomfortable. PINKY is a movie that tells the story of a mulatto young lady should I say that was raised by her African American grandmother in the deep south. Those were the days in which racism was at it heighest peek in the deep south. I know what I am talking about because I've been there and had hand to hand combact with it. It is very unfortunate that there are many human being on this globe that are naive to the vital rool that every race, color, creed and national origin play in our world. People need to be taught that no race or color is better that each other they are just different. when we go to the flower shop to buy a boque of flowers most of the time we get a variety of flowers because it makes it more attractive right? yes it does the same is true when we go to the Dept. store to buy a new set of linnens. My friends variety is the spice of life that what makes our world beautiful in the sight of God and man. Pinky was just a young lady caught in the throws of an unfriendly world of people that think that only they have the rights to exiest on this globe. Almost every white person that she encounter upon her return from medical school had a problem with her been connected to the black race. Pinky was so frustrated with the condition that exiested in the small town that she wanted to serve as a nouse that she wanted to go back to the place where she was trained as a nurse. I have a word of advise to all my friends out there that are controle by the spirit of racism, no one was born a racises, racism is something that is learned or taught. If a baby is raised by a person be it black of white, that child will grow to love that person regardless of the person's color until some one of his kind inculcate evil into the mind of that child. If Pinky was left alone to live comfortable with her grandmother undisturbed Pinky's life would not have been miserable like the way it was. I am happy that at the end of the day she defied all odds including the doctor that wanted her to abandone her grandmother and the people that turned their little town into a living hell for black people to stay and fight back. My friend I want to make something very clear, I don't have one drop of blood in my vain that is prejudice. I was sent to school in Texas by a white man that I loved dearly with his family. I have white friends in the south that were willing to die for me if push had come to shove, what I am saying is that not all white people are bad the same way not all black people are bad. I love every one the only thing I dislike about people of any race is their bad attitude. Therefore my advice to those that read this review is to watch PINKY and I am sure you will learn something from it because you will see

This is the kind of movie that should be required watching. I've had to sit for a few moments and digest my thoughts on it because it's that powerful. Let's discuss my thoughts from start to finish. I will say up front that I'm not a fan of Jeanne Crain. I've never thought she had much talent - like, she has two modes. Happy and angsty and nothing in between. I just don't care much for her. Therefore, I didn't watch this because of her. I watched it because of the Ethels - Waters and Barrymore. There's the meat of this whole movie. But there is so, so much more. Some spoilers here, but not enough to ruin the movie. Jeanne Crain plays a light skinned Black woman. That casting made me cringe at first (when Dorothy Dandridge or Lena Horne could have played the role so much more brilliantly). But given the climate of 1949 and white audiences who would have been uncomfortable (and illegal in some states) of a white man kissing a black woman, I understand why the studios did it this way. Actually, I think it had a reaction that they never thought of. The audience watches discrimination through Jeanne Crain's white-eyes. Because white audiences could relate to Jeanne, they could see what she went through. Or, more importantly, what Pinky went through. That's the first light of understanding of how blacks were and continue to be discriminated against. I think that was absolutely brilliant on their part because it makes the movie so much more powerful that way. Make no mistake - this movie is about black and white race relations. With Jeanne in the role, and she doesn't do badly, white audiences get a taste of discrimination through her. Ethel Waters plays Jeanne's grandmother. I could watch that woman all day and then some. She plays a sublime role, one she was nominated for an Oscar for, and it's easy to see why. She's accepting. She's wise. She's also understanding. Absolutely amazing. We sympathize with her deeply. Ethel Barrymore is the other part of this equation. She's grumpy and snippy. But oh so sly and cunning. Totally cool. She's on Pinky's side. Maybe not at first, but she comes to understand this young woman in turmoil. Ethel's character is a white woman from a very old white family, a family who owns a home built by slaves, and the role between lady of the house and Ethel Water's character are the roles that generations of families have played. Ethel Waters isn't a slave, but she does laundry for "Miss Em" for free. Miss Em also doesn't have any money. She's a proud woma
