After they announced their relationship in August 2018, Asmongold and Pink Sparkles announced that they are ending their relationship “for many reasons.” A series of tweets by Izzy “Pink Sparkles” G confirmed the break-up as she moves back to California.
In Izzy’s Twitter account, she explained why they chose to end the relationship after more than a year. “I’ve been very unhappy in Austin for many reasons. It’s lead me into a pretty deep depression for a while, making it impossible for me to go live. So I’ve decided that it’s best for me to move back to Cali and work on myself.”
She adds that living in Texas made her unhappy, and she has developed a “pretty deep depression for a while,” making it hard for the streamer to entertain her fans. She also noted that it had been nearly two months since she last streamed.
She is now moving away to California to “work on myself.” She revealed that Asmongold is also dealing with personal problems.
“It’s been very difficult for us to enjoy our time together recently, while at the same time dealing with a lot of personal problems,” Izzy tweets. She also said that it’s unfair for their relationship to carry on. Though, she confirmed that the two will remain friends for now.
Like a Hollywood rom-com movie, she leaves the fans wondering what’s going to happen next. She continued by saying the relationship is still hanging if it’s over for good. The time off and privacy is to work on themselves separately.
Zack, also known as Asmongold, did brush up on this topic during is the stream. The World of Warcraft Classic streamer confirmed that the break-up happened just the morning of December 16. Like a real professional streamer, he didn’t let this cause the cancellation of his regular schedule. “I try to keep my personal life and my private life and drama off [of] my stream,” Zack explained.
For an uncertain reason, Pink Sparkles has deleted the series of tweets she posted this morning regarding the split while Asmon tweets that he is taking a break. There is no definite timeline for how long Asmon will take. He justified that he’s inconsistent and “weird lately.”
The WoW Classic streamer is flooded with support. Most fans are pushing Asmongold to take all the time he needs. One fan weighed in on the break-up. “Make a clean break and never look back. ‘Friends’ doesn’t work.”
Since Izzy and Zack announced their relationship, fans have mix emotions. Izzy is continuously bombarded with tweets claiming she wants Asmongold for his money. On a tweet Izzy responded to, a fan said, “Pretending you’re interested in a balding ginger wow player, and not his clout and bank account.” Sparkles then responded with a snarky tweet of her own: “do u not realize id be making a shit ton more money pretending to be single.” She also exclaims that Zack is taking her thrift shopping with a facepalm meme.
Asmongold averages upwards of 23,000 viewers and has 1.2 million followers on Twitch.
