I got both of my nipples pierced at a Canadian Beachfront, one of the stores. I bargained down $20 on the price because i was getting three piercings, and i had my dermal anchor from when i had it before. They askes if i wanted rings or bars, and i selected rings
Before this, i was looking at taking a piercers course, and as the dude was preparing the area, i thought id make conversation, and brought up my upcoming plans, to maybe bond a little as he rubbed and pierced my nipples.
The fact that i was going to take a course, while he slaved away for 2 years in an unpaid internship was SO OFFENSIVE and ridiculous to him, he would not stop telling me how wrong i was! How i would never be a good piercer, how id never get a job.
I just shut up and tried to get out as soon as possible. And when i went to pay, the price was higher than the original price, pre-negotiation, but i wanted out.
After checking out the goods in the bathroom, and i headed back to the car, i walked past the shop,to hear the guy shit talking me to a group of people in the store .
I was fuming, and i emailed the customer support/feedback line, and their responce was "the rings cost $10 extra each"(which was NOT disclosed at all) and ignored the comment about the piercer.
When you start bargaining with a guy that's going to stab some part of your body with a metal spike... you're asking for trouble.
The $20 was cause i brought my own hardware, the dermal anchor, which is the entire piercing.
The title made me think this story would be very different
Don't bargain!!!! A lot of people will think this is insulting, including me. From your description you do sound difficult...
The "bargaining" wasnt even like drawn out. It was legit like "i still have my anchor, can we use that and take a little off" and they were like "ya sure, $20"
I won't even feel comfortable to let him touch any part of my body after the way he interacted with you.

It's like some tattoo artists... Some just act like they were sculpted by gods. When you get a nice one they're suuuuper nice but the others oh wow... I've walked out of a couple tattoo shops because of people acting like dicks. But this guy was just probably bitter about his wasted two years. It doesn't take that long to learn how to pierce.
Choosing beggar.....you get what you pay for.
You obviously dont know what a choosing beggar is, and i definitepy did not pay $190 to get yelled at, made uncomfortable, and be slandered to other patrons.
