Strobist info: Two Godox AD200 were used. One in a gridded softbox above subject (with a bounce card under for fill), and the 2nd AD200 placed behind subject in a small reflector with orange gel to lit up the background. Triggered by wireless remote.
Heavy rain last week caused flooding and damaged infrastructure resulting in the closure of the park. One can only imagine the disappointment of those who traveled far to visit this natural wonderland.
The Grand Prismatic Spring is located within the Midway Geyser Basin. It is the largest hot spring in the United States and measures more than 300 feet in diameter (think football field size). The bright orange area is a microbial mat that changes color with the seasons of the year with it being this color during the summer and green during the winter. The azure blue pool is more than 100 feet deep and has a water temperature of 160 degrees F which is responsible for the visible water vapor. The spring discharges 560 gallons of water a minute. This is a very popular site for visitors. The parking lot was overflowing and there was a constant flow of people on the 0.8 mile long boardwalk traversing the area. I was still able to set up my tripod for the photo (My wife stands guard assuring that no one trips on it or me).
The Grand Prismatic Spring is a sight to behold and certainly a must visit destination when in the park.

I made my feminine clothes. This is regular shorts...but the top is a corset design of cotton eyelet. I made it and i have no bra. There are ruffles on the hips and the top...and then there is a matching skirt. At this seminar, it was about, femininity...all the women dressed up as much as possible...and the teacher said ...I was the best in this outfit.
Every day was a fashion show....but...I had great shoes...and he said you all look great
but Mrs X...wins because of her shoes. The shoes were all vinyl and at that time, they were not common. And they cost a fortune.
So this is two piece outfit and....

How about a hot cuppa? I'm a tea drinker, and this evening when were celebrating my wife's birthday we had made a pot of cinnamon chai rooibos for an after dinner treat. I had poured a cup into my favorite glass mug, when I saw the evening light hitting the floor in the living room. About a half hour drive from my hometown is a place called Los Banos that is known for its Hot Springs. We spent the day there swimming and getting full body massages.
