It's 2018—so at this point, you've definitely seen a pic of Kim Kardashian in the buff. But despite her literal "break the internet" fame, she's not the only celeb who's baring it all.
Others, from Emily Ratajkowski to Ashley Graham and Celine Dion, have starred in their own stunning nude photo shoots. Some of these women posed nude to make a statement about society's definition of beauty. Others did it for fun because nudity = no big effing deal, you know?
Here's why these 14 celebs chose to bare it all:
Being comfortable with her sexuality took time, Halle told Vogue in her 2010 cover interview. "I've been slowly getting there. If the world wouldn't persecute me, I'd take nude pictures every day of the week."
For Miley, nudity is part of her self-expression—and no one is going to shame her out of it. "I don't really stress too much about being out there. There's nothing left to catch me doing," she told Marie Claire in 2015. "You want to hack my e-mail so you can find my nude pictures? I'll just fucking put them up."
And: "Because I got my tits out before doesn’t make me less of a role model," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2017. "I think I show people that they can be themselves."
The singer Sia took a serious invasion of her privacy and gave it the middle finger. "Someone is apparently trying to sell naked photos of me to my fans. Save your money, here it is for free. Everyday is Christmas!’ she captioned her amazing photo. By sharing the picture of her backside with the world, she ensured that creeps couldn't make money off of it.
For some celebs, a nude photo is just about feeling confident. " I don't do things to be like, "This is powerful. I'm going to show you guys that this is my 'message,'" Kim told Harper's Bazaar in 2016. "I'm not that type of person. I'm empowered by it, but I'm not doing it specifically to show power."
Celine Dion casually used a Vogue Instagram takeover to show that age ain't a damn thing. Her fans responded in kind, holding her up as an example that age can never dictate beauty.
The "God Is A Woman" singer has been outspoken about the double standards men and women face in the media. "If you’re going to rave about how sexy a male artist looks with his shirt off, and a woman decides to get in her panties or show her boobies for a photo shoot, she needs to be treated with the same awe and admiration," she told Billboard in 2016. "I will say it until I’m an old-ass lady with my tits out at Whole Foods. I’ll be in the produce aisle, naked at 95, with a sensible ponytail, one strand of hair left on my head and a Chanel bow."
"Being told, 'You’re fat,' 'You’re ugly' or 'You’re just not good enough,' and trying to live in these model standards, that was my normal," Ashley Graham told Tracee Ellis Ross in an interview for V Magazine . "I think I hit bottom around 18. I was disgusted with myself and told my mom I was coming home. And she told me, 'No, you’re not, because you told me that this was what you wanted and I know you’re supposed to do this. It doesn’t matter what you think about your body, because your body is supposed to change somebody’s life.'"
"Certain women, no matter what, they get put into certain boxes more than men," Emily told Love Magazine last year. "That was my box to deal with. It says so much about how much we don't like women in culture that if they show their bodies, they're vulgar, basically. It's either completely sexualized or its vulgar and gross. It's so bizarre."
Ciara has shared her fair share of stunning budoir photos, including ones while rocking a baby bump. "Empowerment is about freedom of expression and it’s always amazing to see women being confident in their own skin," she told Love Magazine in December.
Nudity was a regular part of her HBO show Girls , and Lena didn't care if it made people uncomfortable. When asked during a press panel in 2014 why her character was naked so much on the show, Lena said nudity is "a realistic expression of what it’s like to be alive. But I totally get it. If you’re not into me, that’s your problem and you’re going to have to work that out with professionals."
“To me, nudity is not something to be ashamed of," Kourtney told DuJour magazine when she stripped down in a pregnancy photoshoot for the mag. "I’m not embarrassed of my body. I’m at my best when I’m pregnant. It’s such an amazing feeling, the transformation that your body goes through. There’s something about that that’s so empowering and beautiful and I just really embrace it."
The comedian explained her nude ambitions to Harper’s Bazaar : “I think nudity is funny, as long as you are doing something silly. I always try to make my pictures silly and funny. I am not lying on a bed trying to lure someone inside of me.”

Sometimes, nudity can be for a good cause. “Imma post this one more time for the haters,” Amber captioned her nude photo , which was taken to promote the Amber Rose SlutWalk (a festival focused on raising awareness about sexual injustice and gender inequality).
Sofia Vergara said she first balked at the idea of posing nude for the cover of Women's Health . But then she had a change of thought. "Here's a woman, 45, being able to show her body. It's not like before, when it was just young girls," she said.

I’m a big fan of Photoshop . In fact, I bet I use it every other day, if not every day. It’s a program that allows you to clip, crop, edit, tweak, color, discolor, warp, bend, flip….any image. You name it, it’s nearly possible to do anything to an image to change it just how you want. And if you’ve stood in a checkout line at any grocery store and found yourself staring at the beautiful woman or handsome man on cover of the magazine that sits below the one featuring the pregnant man, and above the one that proclaims Bigfoot has (yet again!) been spotted, you may have found yourself jealous and annoyed. You’re ticked off because the cover gals and dudes are better looking than you . But their glowing beauty, like the pregnant man and Bigfoot, are grossly exaggerated. That should make you feel better, right?
Sure, some celebrities were ‘born with it’. That’s life. They’ll never do wrong or look bad in any light. But for the remaining 90% of celebs who will grace a cover in their careers, chances are, they got the Photoshop treatment a time or two.
What, don’t believe me? Well, special thanks to model Denise Alceda for explaining that yes, you’re not perfect, but that’s okay – because celebs aren’t either. Check out these real celebrities, looking really human before their digital brush treatment.
Brittany Murphy . I wish my eye bags would disappear like that at 4:00am.

Faith Hill. Faith was just fine with the really fat, out of shape arm in the first pic. Sigh.
Nitro Magazine? Never heard of it. But the model is far too ugly to…wait, okay…perfect.
Matthew Macfayden. This dude shines on while we all deal with that zit that feels like a tomato – and looks like one too.
Thom York. ‘Crookedly perfect’. New Radiohead album.
George Clooney. Don’t hide the gray, Cloons. Wasn’t Stacy Keibler hot and young enough?
Male model. This is actually me. Surprising, I know.
Tyra Banks. Even she’s surprised at her beauty and cat eyes.
Bathing suit model. Whoever picked the outfit was fired. Wait, hire him back. We can tweak that.
Model closeup. That just changed everything. Bravo graphics department! Beers for everyone!
Well, there you have it. Just a sampling of some touch up work that goes on before you see your favorite celebs and models on the covers of your favorite magazines. Soon ugly people will be attractive and they’ll actually have to reverse the Photoshop process. Who knows. But this was a fun look at life and how no one is immune to aging. No matter your level of sleep deprivation, stress, booze, cigarettes, or anything else that causes you to prematurely age – rest assured there’s a filter for you in Photoshop. It will require a few more clicks, but you’re all set.
