They catered to the bride and groom and made them the focus of their entertainment, while at the same time drawing in all the guests to celebrate the couple. The members of the band are professional in every way and obviously have been playing together for a while because their chemistry was excellent. They could play any genre and even took requests at the end. I would highly recommend hiring Phat Hat for your wedding reception or next event! They were the absolute BEST!
One guest in a different room was actually convinced the band wasn't actually performing at the time because it sounded exactly like the recording. I'm SO glad I booked them! Easiest contract to sign.

gh first dance songs and were hesitant to have a live rendition but ultimately decided to. We danced to "How sweet it is" and all I can say is WOW! These guys gave James Taylor a run for his money. They did such an amazing job of reading the crowd and were able to not only get the party started but also keep it going! Everyone knows that the band and music is the most important part of a southern wedding. When it comes to music for your special night I would look no further than the guys and gals from Phat Hat. I think their tempo and timing of selections really made our wedding. They will give you and your loved ones a special night that will be talked about for weeks.
hen you arrive at the reception. Let Phat Hat do what they do best: Read the crowd, structure the event, and facilitate the memories. They saved us at least 10 decisions and much stress so that we could focus on dancing at our reception while not missing a beat on the reception expectations.
Also, don't go cheap on the music. No one will be around to taste your $1,000 white almond cake if the music is cheezy. Get the best funky, horn band that knows how to plan, pivot, perform, and press those musical memories deep into your story. Get Phat Hat.

My husband and I absolutely loved dancing the night away with our guest to the jams of Phat Hat Band. e manager Rick was very nice and helpful leading up to the wedding also. Since the ceremony and reception were both in the same room, we had to set up the band equipment and hide it during the ceremony, which they made happen without a problem. They were exactly what we were looking for and I will recommend them to everyone! Thanks Phat Hat for making our wedding so much fun!!

Their sound guy was even there, surveying the room and making sure everything was perfect. EVERYONE was dancing. At the end of our 4-hour reception, we still had a packed house with the crowd screaming for an encore from Phat Hat. On top of this, they were so incredibly accommodating, professional and quick to respond to emails. You will never regret the decision to hire Phat Hat. Stop looking and before someone else does!

A quick story to illuminate why they are so great: we asked them to learn a song very close to the wedding that was special to my mother-in-law's heart. Rick was very, very helpful and accommodating of our requests...the band even learned a new song and allowed one of our groomsmen to go and sing with them! I really could go on and on about how terrific and wonderful this band is. They'd make an EXCELLENT addition to your reception!

The dance floor was packed for most of the night, and the lead singer has a great personality. They were also happy to play our first dance song, even though it wasn't on their playlist. I highly recommend Phat Hat! In fact, one of our groomsmen said they were the best wedding band he's ever heard.

He came out into the crowd, let us help him sing the chorus of "September" and was just so genuine the entire night. We got so many compliments from wedding guests. The only negative thing I can say is that it's a shame they have to take breaks because we missed them when they weren't playing!

He downloaded our first dance song for us and made me feel so confident that we had made the right choice. All of the band members were so friendly and let one flower girl have a solo too! If we did it all over again, I would definitely choose Phat Hat again and again.
