Petya — Privacy Policy
ПетяPetya for iPhone. Revision of 6 September 2026.
The app collects no data
Nothing about you, nothing about your device.
What that means literally
- No sign-up, no account, no email, no phone number.
- The app does not create a device identifier and does not send one.
- Device model and OS version are never transmitted.
- Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used and tracking permission is never requested.
- There are no ads and no advertising trackers in the app.
- There is no analytics and no third-party statistics library.
Where the app connects
Only to the services being checked — the ones listed on screen. Each is asked for the smallest file it already serves to everyone: a site icon or a connectivity-check page. The response time is measured; the content is neither read nor stored.
For the checks themselves we have no server: we receive neither your results nor the fact that you ran a check.
VPN
On the VPN tab the app brings up a tunnel through servers built into the app itself: no key, no sign-up, no payment. While the tunnel is on, the device's traffic goes through the chosen server.
The app has no accounts at all, so traffic cannot be tied to a person through it. The servers process only the technical data without which traffic cannot be carried. The app does not collect or send anywhere any record of where you go.
A tunnel that is off leaves nothing behind: the app keeps no background connections.
What stays on the device
The result of the last run, so the app can show whether things got better or worse since the previous one. It is kept on the phone only and is removed together with the app.
Purchases
The app is free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or payments.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13.
