Can people find it attractive? Suggestions on what to wear?
To petite girls like me... (I'm very short like 5 flat :3)
Do you think people especially guys find it attractive?
and also I need fashion suggestions on how to wear clothes and what to wear Also what to avoid.

As long as your confident enough to ramp up your self to other people without looking on the height problem. For the fashion suggestion:
Avoid wearing blazers and cardigans with more than three buttons because they will draw unwanted attention to your shorter upper body. Also, make sure that your blazers and jackets fall slightly below your buttocks, as this will make your body look slightly more elongated. While you should try to avoid double-breasted suits, if you do choose to wear one, do up all the buttons (including the lower ones), as this will give you a longer look.
I'm alright with my height.. but there are times where I wish I was a tad bit taller. Haha. Bein' fun-sized is great tho!
As for guys, all tha guys I've dated were between 5'6 - 5'9. haha. Aha. Yeah I looked like a munchkin nxt to 'em.
but to answer your question (which I can't really kos I'm not a guy), I've askd a few guys if they like shorter girls.. majority of 'em said they like short girls kos it's cute to bend down to hug/kiss them. So yeah, some guys adore short girls ~!
Hey! I'm 5 feet too! Hmm I'm pretty comfortable with my height. It's nice to wear heels although you won't get much taller because even with a 2 - 3 1/2 inch heel we are still like 5'1 or 5'2, but heels has its effects. For petite girls, wearing shorts or skirts that are a lil short (not too short) makes their legs look longer, do not wear big bell-shaped jeans because they will make your legs appear shorter. But it really depends on your overall physical features and clothes style; I noticed that one petite girl can look very different from another petite girl by body type - weight - etc. Balance is key.
Some guys think its sexy, hot, cute, perfect and just prefer petite girls and some just don't really mind the height. I've dated someone around 5'11 and that is alot of tiptoeing or him bending haha... You'd be suprised a guy who is 5'9 makes a huge difference. I've always found tall guys attractive, however, I think the 5'9 and 5'10 height is good for 5'0 girls. It is up to you really.
I think I can be considered as petite, I'm 5'2.

There's nothing to be confident or not confident when it comes to height, either way I have to live with it.
I'm not sure about the guys part, but it'll feel like dating a kid wouldn't it?
Whereas when it comes to clothes, I just wear what's on the trend. Petite people look just as good in clothes as taller girls, it's usually the length of the body or legs that makes a person look bad in clothing.
I love my height even though I am short
I just keep my weight on check so it fits my height.
Do bootcut jeans really make your legs appear longer? Are they still in?

Yup I wear shorts as an alternative to denim pants,
but are there jeans that can make legs appear longer? Because sometimes,the weather is cold xD
i'm 5'2", and i love being short. and i've met plenty of guys have prefer petite/short girls. the shortest guys i've dated were about 5'6" and 5"8", and the tallest guys i've dated were 6'2" and 6'4". i must say i prefer the taller guys.
It's funny, my bf personally prefers petite girls the most.
Avoid long shirts and maxi dresses lol
Wear heels or wedges (a lot more comfy) I would think skinny jeans and bootcut would look flattering because wide leg etc would make you look bigger horizontally. and dw about trends =]

and i like it because almost all guys like short girls from what i've heard. it's hard finding jeans that don't go wayyy over your feet but a few adjustments isn't that hard. and i just think petite girls look so nice in everything we wear
I'm 159 cm or 160 cm, I'm not only short but I'm skinny too so it make me look extra petite.
My advice for fashion, avoid wear long shirts or cardigans. If you want to wear it, wear it with heels. =)

so i will try to shift the focus on the upper part of the body by wearing tees with details / scarves / layered outfits

I don't think any of the fashion suggestions apply to petite/slim girls in general unless she is petite AND unproportional (as in long legs with short body or long body with short legs or big here and small there etc).
I'm 1/4 of an inch shorter than you and 100 lbs. as long as everything is fitted, then you won't look like a midget swimming in her clothes. as far as increasing your height, heels and skinny/bootcut jeans are the way to go. bootcut jeans are kinda like socks. they never go in or out. they're just kinda there. matter of fact, i'm wearing them right now.
I actually had a 6'+ tall white guy randomly come up to me at work and inform me that tall guys love tiny girls. I didn't know that. *shrugs*

i love to wear fluffy short-ish -medium length skirts
but that may not be what everyone likes, you know?

My boyfriends were usually 5'11 or taller.. ke ke.
With shorts, do not go with those shorts that cut off below the knee (usually)
Also, with those leggings that go down all the way to the just-above-ankle, may not help with looking taller either!!

really? i thought her suggestions were excellent. i'm 5'1" 95 lbs, and honestly, one button blazers look better on me than two button or three. and double breasted is a BIG no-no for me -- like trench coats and whatnot. not flattering at all.
as for pants, i tend to buy them a little long (not that i have much choice, being short and all) and wear them with heels. it lengthens the leg a bit.

I shouldn't say so... But, if you really want to appear taller (and I don't know if some other Soompiers have mentioned this, before) you shouldn't wear low-cut jeans, or shirts that exceed your hips.

I think that actually wearing long shirts, but pairing them with leggings, or shorts, would have an effect of making you look fine/taller.
Just don't pair them with pants... that are baggy, flared, etc.

well since this is for petite girls and not just short girls no offense i am assuming that they would be slim/skinny? soo i would agree with you guys about making your legs look longer and that would be with skinnies/straight jeans.. oor short shorts with leggings/tights when its cold? im a minisize myself but i dont think certain styles would clash with your height.. (styles would usually depend on personal body type/sizes/preference) just make sure that the lengths of your clothes are proportional to your heights and lengths so it wouldnt look too baggy or emphasize your "shortness".. even tho baggy seems to be the in-style in asia now? so maybe you can pull it off haha.. and heels always work too.. haha im prolly repeating what a bunch of other people said but i hope that helps

I'm around 157cm/5'2" and I love being short. Good thing about being short is that guys who are shorter can go for you too ^.^ (my bf is 5'4" lol). And a lot lot lot of guys like petite girls because they are cute and seem less intimidating lol.
And as for clothing... I wear anything from long tank tops to long shirts to skinny jeans, flare jeans, and baggy clothes and I don't think it makes me look any shorter. I think as long as horizontally you're proportional to your height it doesn't really matter what you wear...just my opinion. But short shorts and skirts plus heels do make you look taller.
I think as long as your weight is in check it shouldn't matter.
For the slimmer ones I'd say shorter shirts (like closer to the hips) with jeans are better to look taller.
But for the..notsoslim ones *coughmecough* I think longer shirts still go better because they hide your hips and butt and stuff haha. xD
A lot of girls look taller with skinnies if they have the legs

i struggled to grow taller than my mum who's a midget. im still shorter than my dad D;

make short friends so you dont look too short for your age. lol~ i have a few around my height ^^ one shorter, the rest taller. but we're a loud and big group so sometimes forget im short. think BIG and you forget about being small.
theres a teacher at my school around my height.. and she is REALLY SCARYYY!! T___________T;; mostly everyone is taller than her but she still intimidates them. she doesn look scary.. maybe its her voice.. because shes realy scary when she yells. she reminds me of an agro Chihuahua.
hmm.. the advantage of being petite is your boyfriend can piggy back you when your tired from walking

I'm 5 feet too! haha. I used to think of my height as being a bad thing. I tried all sorts of ways to make me taller, it didn't help. My relatives were always making fun of my height because they're taller than me. But then I was all, "Who cares what they think?" I came to realize that being short is a great thing because you can still wear heels and not worry about being taller than your bf or anybody. Plus, I've heard that guys like petite girls because they think they're cute. =)

I'm like 5'1 or 5'2. I feel normal at home because my whole family (parents and older sister) are all short. lol. The "tallest" is my dad, and he's like 5'5ish. But at school, I feel uber small around everyone because girls or guys, they're ALL taller than me. hahah. I actually like my height. And I hate it how clothes don't fit me sometimes, especially jeans since I haven't find a pair that fits me perfectly. Same goes for shirts, like some brands' size Small would look big one me.

where a lot of shorts during the summer. exposing large part of your leg makes you look taller
avoid horizontal lined pants (i guess that includes plaid) cause it makes you look shorter
for jeans, I suggest skinny jeans. Everyone always asks me if I got taller whenever i wear my skinny jeans.
for the shirt, don't where anything that goes past your waist (butt too if you like long shirts. but that's the limit) cause long shirts makes you look like you have shorter legs. (this is when I want to get taller. I love some of the long tshirts)

I'm 156 cm. It's okay, although being short can occasionally be rather inconvenient. I have an average body, but because of my large breasts I have trouble finding clothes that look good on me. Most clothes seem to make me look shorter and wider than I actually am. Well, I at least THINK it's the breasts.. Because my sister is about the same height and weight as me but with a flat chest, and people often say they think she's taller than me when in reality I'm a couple of centimeters taller...

I wear a lot of shorts and mini skirts. but it's hard for me to find shoes since i have petite feet. When you wear gowns or dresses.. try to go for a knee length dress.. that way it doesn't make you look stubby .... but w.e you like ^^

Haha I absolutely love how you put it. And it sounded like you were talking about my situation because I've also got one friend my height and the rest are taller! LOL.
I have pretty loud fashion so it makes people shift their attention from my height to my dress sense.

For clothes, HIGH WAISTED PANTS and SKIRTS! I know the prospect of high waisted pants might be a little unappealing, but trust me, it really makes your body appear longer and leaner. I also find that long fitted tops help "lengthen" the body as well.
I'm a pretty tiny person too (5'0) and I usually wear high waisted skirts and medium rise jeans and most people never even notice how tiny I am until they stand next to me.
