Here we go again. When a picture of a mom and son in the bathtub with her son made its way around social media, the internet went crazy. Words like inappropriate, child pornography, and abuse infiltrated the comment sections of Facebook posts and forced everyone to hit the share button and call this mom out on her actions. And those who did not have as much of a problem with her in the bathtub with her son had a problem with someone taking the photo and posting. Let the judgment begin.
So the first question a lot of people probably asked was the age of the boy. He looked to be at least four or five, but it’s hard to say what his exact age is. Now, unfortunately for “tubmom,” in order for this behavior to have been acceptable by internet mafia standards, said boy should have been no older than two for her not to be condemned for her actions. Not to mention, from the looks of the photos, they both looked cramped and there wasn’t enough room for them to properly bathe. So not only were they inappropriate to everyone, there was a chance they were both not even fully washed. But I digress.
Seriously though, we can’t continue to think we can tell other parents how to raise their kids, or decide the decency line for everyone else. To each his own.
As long as there is no harm done to the child, there shouldn’t be any real issue. Like many others, I saw more harm done by posting the photo.
We know the type of backlash something like this could get so this was a bad decision by tubmom or the anonymous photographer (maybe dad?). Truthfully, I highly doubt there was anything inappropriate going on, and it really did just look like she was taking a bath with her child. The exposed boob that was covered was probably a bit much. But hasn’t this woman learned that social media is the devil?
Admittedly, I have taken a bath with all of my kids at some point up until they were about two. Not because I wanted them to infiltrate the only time that I had alone, but because it just seemed like the only way I could preserve time back then. I know a lot of moms who do this. As the kids become more aware of things and get curious about body parts, it makes things uncomfortable. So it eventually stops. For some, it stops a little later. For me, two was the age where it felt as if they could start remembering these things. Therefore, since society (and my husband) deemed it inappropriate, I made sure to stop. By three years old, I actually started locking the bathroom door. They bang on the door until I get out of the tub and unlock it so they can ask me something that could have waited. My seven-year-old has now figured out how to take a penny and turn the bathroom lock to make her way in. I say all this to say that no matter how hard I have tried to cover up or shield them from my own nakedness, they have caught a glimpse here and there. They usually don’t even think twice about it. I yell at them to shut the door. They don’t. Instead, I’m left exposed in the tub with a cold draft. It’s inevitable.
No one wants to scar their kids with visions of naked adults, but it’s not as uncommon as the comments on tubmom’s photos would have you believe. What is uncommon is posting a photo like that. Now that the photo has made its way onto everyone’s timelines, there’s a smh type feeling. Judgment awaits.
Is it a little weird? Kinda. Inappropriate? Maybe. Should she have posted it on the internet for the world to see? Absolutely not.

One woman has gone viral after sharing an unfortunate realization: she's accidentally been flashing her neighbors from her bathroom window. Viewers can't get enough of the hilarious clip, posted one week ago by TikToker Jill, also known as @mama_jill34: so far, the video, found here , has been viewed 8.5 million times and liked 1.4 million times.
In the clip, Jill realizes that, much to her alarm and dismay, she is the "naked window neighbor." This concept, of being the person in a given neighborhood who (accidentally or not) flashes their neighbors, is not a new one: the subject sparked a viral conversation late last year, after marketing strategist Molly Hale tweeted: "You either have a naked window neighbor or you are a naked window neighbor."
For Jill, the "naked window" in question is made of frosted glass and is located in a second-story master bathroom in her house, right next to the shower. "I felt like people could see me even through [its] frosted glass," said Jill in her video's on-screen text. "So I asked my husband to pretend he's showering so I could see."
The video was filmed at night, meaning the lit bathroom window stands out against the house's dark exterior. Sure enough, a silhouette appears at the window and begins to "shower." Jill's husband acts out different motions, all of which are highly visible from the outside—potentially bad news for anyone who actually showered in the bathroom.
His commitment to “fake showering” is impressive 💀
Luckily for Jill, she doesn't believe any neighbors have actually spotted her or her husband in the bathroom. "To our knowledge, no one has seen us," she told Newsweek .
"I definitely was not expecting it to reach so many people," she added. "I only had about 30 followers at the time of posting and I really just thought maybe a few people would get a kick out of it."
In response to viewers' requests, Jill posted a second video a few days later, this time showing a view of the bathroom window during the daytime. Alarmingly, the view inside the frosted glass window is somehow even more visible during the day. "That's really clear," said the TikToker.
Jill also showed how the window, while not located on the front of their house, actually overlooks the entire street due to the building's angle. "Most of my neighbors have a similar window, but the angle our house is placed on our lot makes ours much more prominent to the street," she added.
The second clip also reached a wide audience, amassing 1.5 million views of its own.
Across both videos, horrified viewers left thousands of comments, many of which expressed sympathy for the TikToker's unfortunate situation.
"Might as well be bathing on the front lawn," wrote @pineappiesauce.
"I'd never be able to look my neighbors in the eyes again," wrote @pineappiesauce.
Meanwhile, @ucandankme offered some more bad news: "Here's something horrifying, water usually makes it so you can see through frosted glass easier."
Instead of stressing, however, Jill appears to be taking advantage of the window as a potential source for entertainment and humor. "It's made for some other really funny videos," she said. "We think the whole situation is hilarious and we're having fun with follow-up videos."
"We aren't sure why it took off the way it did, but probably because a lot of people have a very similar window in their own home, or their neighborhood, and it hit home for them," she added. "Privacy glass isn't very private."

Kelly Ripa is having some fun under the sun!

The Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host posted a stunning photo to her Instagram on Tuesday of herself wearing a white bikini and a white embroidered beach cover-up. In the photo, Ripa’s shoulder-length blonde hair is loose in the wind and she sports dark sunglasses on a perfect-looking beach.

“Sous le soleil avec #papa (Not pictured)” Ripa, 48, wrote in the photo’s caption. She also tagged her daughter Lola Consuelos, 18, who took the photo for her mom. The caption, written in French, translates to “under the sun with #papa.”

Ripa’s husband and Lola’s dad, Mark Consuelos , commented on his wife’s photo with heart and pizza emoji: “♥️♥️🍕♥️♥️”

In his own Instagram Stories, Mark, 48, also shared some photo of the beach from the family’s getaway, as well as a smiling picture with Ripa and their son Michael, 22.

But her husband wasn’t the only celebrity to notice her bikini photo.

“I would do anything for legs 🦵🏼 like this!!!!! Anything. 🔥🔥🔥🔥,” commented Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna .

“Damn sis” added Holly Robinson Peete, while Consuelos’ Riverdale costar Marisol Nichols commented, “Stunning!!!”

“I’m dead. What is happening here?!? Gorgeous!!!” said Jessica Capshaw, while David Muir gave Ripa a string of fire emojis.

The family time comes after Ripa and Mark revealed that their daughter Lola walked in on them having sex — on her 18th birthday.

Ripa told the Live audience that Lola “shuts the door and you hear, ‘You just ruined my birthday! And my life! And I used to see in color and now everything is gray.'”

The encounter led to an awkward family brunch, and Mark recalled that Lola told them, “‘You guys have no chill. You think you’re 20, but you’re not.'”

But despite the awkward family moment, the Ripa-Consuelos clan remains close. The parents of three recently revealed the best advice they’ve given to their kids over the years.

“I think especially with the programs that they’re in, the peers they are going to school with are people they are going to be working with, so [we’ve told them] make connections, cultivate those relationships,” Mark told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month.

“I think what they have learned so far in their young lives is that you show up for people when they show up for you and you show up. And you don’t make a commitment and suddenly a better offer comes along [and you leave the other behind],” Ripa added.
