MALACOFAUNA DELL' AFRICA ORIENTALE ITALIANA 123 Fra Barderà e Brava (1" sped. Bottego), 1 es. Il Martens determinò questo esemplare come Cyclostomal anceps. Trattasi però di una forma che ne differisce per la minore grandezza (18 mm. di alt. per 18 di diam.), per la spira maggiormente elevata, per il peristoma più dilatato e si identifica per questi caratteri con la Liga- tella dauaensis Kobelt. E' comunque innegabile la stretta affinità di quest' ultima con la L. anceps, della quale si può considerare pertanto una sottospecie settentrionale. Tropidophora (Ligatella) cecionii n. sp. Testa turbinata, aperte et pervie umbilicata, depresse globoso conica, sculptura spirali in anfractibus supremis et in parte supera anfractus ultimi obsoleta, caeterum laevis; spira breviter conica; sutura impressa.

Eden, N.C. Tommie Roberson, Jr., 79, of 314 Pervie Bolick Street in Eden, went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 18, 2012 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Monday May 21, 2012, 12 noon at First Wesleyan Church with visitation to be held one hour prior to the service from 11 am til 12 at the church and other times at the home.
Fair Funeral Home is assisting the family. Tommie was born August 30, 1932 in Spray, NC to the late Tommie Roberson, Sr. and Myrtle Burchell Roberson. He was a four year veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1951 til 1955. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church and served in various capacities.
Tommie was employed many years with Fieldcrest Mills and retired from Miller Brewing Company. He was a member of Leaksville Masonic Lodge #136 and the... Rockingham County Beekeepers Association.
Preceding him in death along with his parents was brother, Wilford J. Roberson. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Rutledge Roberson; daughters, Cathy Chaney and husband Rick, and Teresa Younts and husband Wyatt, all of Eden; sister, Geneva Allen of Eden and brother, Larry Roberson and wife Lib of Winter Haven, FL, grandchildren, Carrie Woods, Jessie and Adam Edwards, Heather and Burton Younts and Hannah Taylor and husband Ryan, great grandchildren, Brianna Hayes, Lilly, Seth and Samara Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made to www.fairfuneralhome.com

This sub-adult bald eagle has been hanging around Race Rocks for the past month and has developed a bit of a noticeable routine. Every morning that the wind permits, Pervie flies by my bedroom window starting around dawn and may keep making passes for about an hour. After my girlfriend went back to civilization Pervie spent 10 minutes holding position (in the rain!) just outside the house which is when I took this photo. I guess the moat doesn't keep out aerial peeping Toms!
