Personnel scheduling of cleaning 🧹 workforces in hospitals 🏥

✅ Today hospitals 🏥 are confronted with increasing operating costs, while they have decreasingly money 💸 on hand ✋. In order to maintain economic stability, hospitals 🏥 have to face 😀 and ➕ minimize these operating costs. This goal 🥍 can 🥫 be achieved by using intelligent 🧠 quantitative methods and ➕ models of the Operations Research (OR) field 🏑. In this book 📚️ a Mixed-Integer Linear programming model (MIP-model) is presented 🎁 to reduce personnel costs by scheduling cleaning 🧹 workforces in hospitals 🏥. The model includes the creation of a shift plan, the consideration of certain quality conditions (e.g. high motivation at work ⚙️, overall demand coverage, location changes) and ➕ an application of the model within a short case study.
