Privacy Policy

Perch ("the app") is a drag-and-drop shelf and clipboard utility for macOS. Your privacy matters, and Perch is built to keep everything on your own Mac.

We do not collect any data. Perch does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

Your content stays on your device. Files, images, text, and links you place on the shelf are held only in your Mac's memory and are cleared when you quit the app. Nothing you drop on the shelf is uploaded anywhere.

Clipboard history. If you turn on clipboard history, recent copies are kept locally in memory on your Mac and cleared when you quit. They are never transmitted off your device. Perch ignores items copied from password managers and apps that mark their content as concealed.

No network activity. Perch does not send your data over the network. Opening a link from the shelf simply hands it to your default browser.

Children's privacy. Perch does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.

Terms of Use

By downloading or using Perch, you agree to these terms.

License. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Perch on devices you own or control, consistent with Apple's Media Services Terms and the Standard End User License Agreement.

Acceptable use. Use Perch only for lawful purposes. Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

Your content. You are responsible for the files and content you manage with Perch. When you drag an item out of the shelf, Perch copies it by default and does not delete your originals (hold ⌘ to move). Always keep your own backups.

"As is." Perch is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages, data loss, or other losses arising from your use of the app.

Changes. These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the app means you accept the current version.
