Penis Pleasure

While I will be the first to tell you the pandemic has been an absolute nightmare, I must confess there were some things I learned about myself that I might not have known had we not endured it.
For instance, the time at home made me realize that “best of” compilations of NeNe Leakes can cheer me up no matter how down I’m feeling. The same can be said for big box deals from Taco Bell. More importantly, though, I learned a whole bunch about myself sexually through solo exploration with sex toys, which I’ve previously written about for this very publication .
The most rewarding sexual lesson was undoubtedly the knee-buckling discovery of the frenulum. Ever since I discovered this wildly erogenous zone of the penis, it’s forever changed the way I stimulate myself and others.
There’s something deeply carnal in the slow, delicate build toward what I’d argue are the most powerful, explosive orgasms I’ve ever experienced. So powerful, in fact, that some texts even categorize it as a different type of orgasm altogether. (Think: clitoral versus vaginal.)
Since I believe everyone with a penis should experience this body-seizing, next-level pleasure, I spoke with a urologist and sex educator to assist in offering this comprehensive guide to frenulum stimulation.
The frenulum is located on the underside of the glans (or head) of the penis. It is a V-shaped band of skin that helps the foreskin comfortably contract over the head of the penis for mobility. It isn’t the only frenulum on our body, either—we actually have a few. The others are located under your tongue and underneath your upper lip. People with vulvas have frenula in their genitals as well.
Though relatively small, the frenulum is the most sensitive and sexually responsive part of the penis, followed by the glans, the shaft, and the scrotum. “The frenulum is where a ton of sensory nerve terminals end, so all those nerves in a small area is very important to sexual satisfaction, but it’s also the reason it’s so sensitive,” urologist Justin Houman, M.D., tells TheBody.
Given its sensitivity, be careful when stimulating the frenulum. Some recommend you use the same care and tenderness you would a clitoris. In fact, the frenulum-based orgasm is often compared to a clitoral orgasm, as both contain ultra-sensitive Pacinian receptors, which work to detect pressure changes and vibrations in the skin.
Even when the foreskin is removed during circumcision, many of the nerve endings remain, meaning the frenulum is largely a universal pleasure zone for everybody with a penis.
If you’re particularly brave and would like to experience even more sensitivity in the area, consider getting it pierced. Houman says a piercing stimulates these already responsive nerves in a unique way that increases the sensitivity and pleasure of intercourse.
It’s important to first note that a frenulum-based orgasm can take longer than your standard penile orgasm. So when you’re about to show your frenulum some love, remain patient, stay relaxed, and don’t get frustrated if it’s taking a while. While stimulation might feel sensitive at some points, you’ll do best to lean into these sensations as opposed to fighting them. The payoff is worth it.
The frenulum is particularly responsive to light and soft touch. That said, Houman says there is no single correct way of stimulating the frenulum, insisting, “There are numerous ways of applying pressure or friction to the frenulum which can trigger orgasm or ejaculation.”
This means your options are endless—which, admittedly, isn’t all that helpful. So, to get you started, I tapped Lisa Finn, a sex educator at Babeland , for some recommendations when experimenting with a partner.
“There’s a technique with your hands that we like to show in our classes called, ‘texting fingers,’” Finn shares. “Hold the shaft of the penis with your fingers laced on top of the corona, with your thumbs against the frenulum. Using lube and light pressure, tap and glide your thumbs over that hot spot, almost like you’re sending a text.”
When it comes to your mouth, play with shapes. “A broad, sloppy tongue (think: licking an ice cream cone) will give softer sensations across more surface area, while a sharp, pointed tongue (think: a brat sticking their tongue out at someone) will give a firmer, more pinpointed sensation, which is great for hitting specific hotspots like the frenulum or circling the corona,” Finn shares.
While these techniques are best applied with your partner, solo frenulum play is most effective with a vibrating toy. Begin by slowly stroking the toy along the frenulum on the lowest vibration setting and slowly increase the intensity over time, keeping it firmly pressed against the frenulum.
You can stimulate the frenulum manually as well. Just keep your strokes short and toward the head of the penis, applying pressure to the frenulum. Or, instead of stroking, switch things up by placing your fingertips on top of the head of your penis (think: the claw machine at an arcade) and use the pads of your fingers to massage up and down the head and frenulum, as if you’re giving your glans a massage. You can also just lightly stroke the frenulum using your finger.
The key in all these techniques is to slow down and enjoy the process, instead of being goal-oriented and rushing things. Take some time and show yourself some love! To help you do just that, Lisa and I compiled a list of our favorite sex toys for frenulum stimulation.
Arcwave Ion: The Arcwave Ion promises “the closest thing to a female orgasm for men,” by using the same patented Pleasure Air technology that made their parent company WOW Tech Group’s clit suction toy, the Womanizer, a raving success among people with vulvas. The device offers a unique rumbling sensation that targets the underside of the shaft and frenulum, slowly edging you toward a delicious orgasm.
Hot Octopuss JETT: Hugging just under the glans of the penis, with two powerful vibrating bullets resting against the frenulum, the JETT is one of few sex toys specifically created to produce a frenulum-based orgasm. The sensation comes courtesy of high-frequency waves, mixing treble and bass vibrations. Once you’ve slipped the toy on and found your perfect frequency, watch as it expands and tightens for a hands-free orgasm. Just sit back and take a load off––literally!
Fun Factory Manta: Now, I don’t want to be biased, but the Manta is my favorite penis toy—period. The award-winning stroker features tips that flutter against the shaft with ridges that retain lube for a longer-lasting glide, making it masterful for many things, from oral sex and penetration (turning the penis into a vibrator) to solo stroking and edging. Its unique shape makes it incredibly effective at stimulating the shaft, glans, or frenulum. Take your pick. Not to get into too much detail, but ever since I first tried this toy, I’ve used it every day.

Studies prove that women don’t really care about penis size, there is a certain length that provides the most pleasure.
While almost all men wish their penis size were bigger, a recent study, by the University of Kentucky, which polled more than 14,000 people, found 45 per cent of men actually wanted a longer penis.
The report, published in Daily Star, made reference to the study and added that while studies prove that women don’t really care about penis size, there is a certain length that provides the most pleasure.
According to a study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, a certain penis size gives women the most vaginal orgasms.
Researchers further revealed that men with longer penis make women climax more often.
Speaking about it, authors of the study wrote that research indicates that women's orgasm during penile–vaginal intercourse is influenced by fitness-related male partner characteristics.
They went on to add that penis size, and preference for a longer penis is associated with greater vaginal orgasm consistency.
Scientists found that women who prefer deep-penile-vaginal stimulation are more likely to have vaginal orgasm, consistent with vaginal orgasm evolving as part of a female mating choice.
However, only 20 per cent of women can achieve orgasm through penetration alone – so a big penis isn’t everything.
If you have a small penis, there are certain positions which can make your penis feel bigger, doggy being one of the best positions for men with smaller penises for sexual stimulation.
While men’s agony and anxiety about their tool size and spurred several companies, there are three steps which might help make penis look bigger.
Trim your pubic hair: a big mound of pubic hair can make your penis look smaller than it is.
Lose weight: a beer belly hanging over your penis can make your penis look smaller.
Get fit: While this won't help elongate your manhood, getting into shape will not only make you feel more attractive, it could also improve your sex life.
It turns out that the average penis size which gives most satisfaction to women is about 5.2 inches (13.2cm) in length and 4.6 inches (11.7cm) in circumference.
At a non-erect state they usually measures 3.6 inches (9.1cm) from tip to base and 3.7 (9.3cm) inches in circumference.
