Pelicans Clash with Spurs in Epic Showdown

In a thrilling night of basketball, the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs met in a high-stakes matchup at the Smoothie King Center. With 2.5 seconds left, the Spurs inbounded the ball to DeRozan, who drove to the basket and was fouled. He made both free throws to give the Spurs a 101-99 lead. The Pelicans, however, were not out of the game. Ingram hit a three-pointer with 0.5 seconds left to tie the game at 101-101, sending the game into overtime.

In overtime, the Spurs took an early lead, but the Pelicans fought back, tying the game at 106-106 with 15 seconds left. The Spurs, however, were able to hold on, making a crucial defensive stop with 5 seconds left to secure a 108-106 victory. DeRozan finished with 30 points, while Williamson had 28 points and 10 rebounds. The win moves the Spurs to 4-2 on the season, while the Pelicans fall to 4-2.
