Reminder of basic notions: All Adepts, all Mystery Schools, teach that each letter corresponds to a number. That to know this correspondence, and through it, the numerical value of words, is to know their true meaning.
Now, what is truth? asks Pontius Pilate. There are, theoretically, only relative truths. Two people never have the same perception of things. If A and B are on both sides of the table, their respective visions of lobster are completely different. Even in the case of very distant objects and very close observers (two lovers looking at the moon, cheek to cheek), the difference (though imperceptible) does exist.
There must, however, be, in good logic, an absolute truth, hidden behind phenomena of which we have only a partial view, and concepts of which we have only a partial view.
This truth - this is the essential point - can only be expressed by means of the living forces we call Numbers. EG "2+2=4" is an absolute truth. Therefore, to know the Number hidden behind the Word that contains the Idea is to know the true meaning of this word, its true Force, beyond the concept. Thanks to the knowledge of this Force, the Word ceases to be Discourse and becomes Word. All Magic, - its codes, Formulas and Divine Names, - is based on this principle, which made Pythagoras say: "whoever knows the secret of numbers, commands the universe".
Let's be a concrete example. Let's go back to the origin, and try to grasp the deep meaning, the living force hidden in, say, the word Thule.
Thule = T(400) + H(5) + U(6) + L(30) + E(5) = 446.
446 is the number of stars in the northern hemisphere. Interesting, when we know that, according to the magical tradition, "every man and woman is a star", and that we can therefore translate 446 by "the eternal assembly of men and women of the North, in that which their beings have of higher, or purer.
We then practice the "theosophical reduction", to grasp the initial nature of the Number: 4+4+6 = 14, which I do not think I should go back to... (Note that we can proceed in the opposite direction EG 14 = 5 + 2 + 7 = 527 = W(6) + 0(70) + T(400) + A(1) + N(50) = Wotan) The idea being, - sorry to repeat the obvious, - that two words with the same numerical value have the same nature.
The ratio of numbers to each other is determined by multiplication, addition and subtraction (division being, of course, intrinsically evil).
By multiplication, we obtain the nature (or the result) of the union of two words. Example: 2 X 7 = 14. The Divine Word (2) manifested (X) in the Physical Nature (7) is (=) the Natural Law (14) i.e. the 14 words.
By subtraction, we obtain the nature of what connects them to each other (their attraction/repulsion to each other). Example: 7 - 2 = 5. Man's duty (5) is to be an intermediary (-) between the Divine Word (2) and Physical Nature (7).
By the addition, we obtain the concrete result of their collaboration. Example: 7 + 2 = 9. The Physical Nature (7) and the Divine Word (2) work together (+) in the act of procreation (9).
The important thing, to begin with, is to know the Decade represented by the Holy Card Yggdrasil:
1 - ᚸ - The Gotheim . The white force, the divine (supraconsciousness, apotheosis, orgasm, etc.).
2 - ᛥ - The Vanheim The red force, the eternal masculine (yang, phallus, etc.)
3. - ᛣ - The Lightalfheim The black force, the eternal feminine (yin, matrix, etc.)
4. - ᛢ - The Manheim The spiritual authority (the sovereign descendant of the gods promulgates the law).
5. ᛠ - The Jotunheim The temporal power (the warrior enforces the law).
6. ᛡ - The Svartalfheim The human (conscience, harmony, etc.)
7. ᚣ - The Niflheim The woman (external splendor, internal corruption, physical nature, etc.)
8. ᚫ - The Muspelheim The man (external corruption, internal splendor, intelligence, etc.)
9. ᚪ - The Helheim Sexuality (subconsciousness, libido, procreation).
10. Matter. (rune Erda)
The cabalistic study i.e. the wisdom of Mimirsbrunn (the well where Wotan will drink the primordial wisdom) of the relationship between numbers allows us to explore the mysteries of nature. EG, let's say: sex and women. What is the ratio of 7 to 9?
7 X 9 = 63. This number represents, in cabal, "the secret nature of the Iss" (IE of the part of the Otswal* relating to the past), i.e. psychoanalysis. Female sexuality is purely psychological. »
9-7=2. "What the woman seeks in sex is the Phallus."
9+7=16 = Tiwaz, the rune of Tyre, god of warriors. Sexuality, for a woman, is a weapon of war.

What about the man? What is the ratio of 8 to 9?
8 X 9=72. This number represents, in cabal, "the secret nature of the Hyrr" (the conclusion of the Otswal, his ultimate magical secret). What harmony! Heil Wotan who had to tear out his eye to be able to transmit such Wonders to us! Sex is the ultimate goal, the final reason for everything for the honest man.
9-8=1. Man's only attraction to sex is reaching orgasm.
9+8=17=Berkano, the rune of Frigg, Muterrecht and Divine inspiration.
