Man, woman, non-binary - don't especially care. Also, find a voice actor who is actually whoever you add; they're only hard to find (if that's even true) because no one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hires them.

Hey r/paydaytheheist , it's me again, back with another lame ass post. I recently left playing Payday 2 (Okay that's a lie, I did it shortly after Shitfest 2015), but was fully ready to come back when I saw that Payday 2 would be introducing a new character, who was in fact a female. Maybe I'm weird, but I've enjoyed most of the character packs, when they were unique. I got Sokol, Jacket, and the Yakuza pack, and I wasn't dissapointed with any of those purchases when I got them.
I wanted a female character to add to my roster though, not Clover, she just didn't appeal to me for whatever reason. She seemed very generic, as if she was designed to fit in with the guys, rather than have her own identity. Then, we got Bonnie. Now when I first heard about Bonnie, I was kinda excited, but then when I saw her... Yeesh. She looked like the hate fuck child of Patton Oswalt and an Orca who had undergone a Gender change. She even sounded the part. I don't know what the fuck Overkill intended to do with her, but she looked more likely to molest the hostages children then to actually get loot and help out.
So naturally, when I hear about Sydney, I was skeptical. Now in case you couldn't notice, this is one smoking hot babe we have on our imaginary virtual hands. I mean, can you imagine that, in Payday 2? My mind swam with thoughts of "Maybe she's a surfer! She'll wear short shorts, a bikini top, maybe one of those kick ass african hats! Maybe she'll be a hunter, who got boerd hunting animals and turned to hunting humans!" I was ready to come back to Payday 2! Call me schovenistic, call me desprate, maybe even tell me it doesn't matter who I play as cause I'm in the first person, I don't care! 95% of good female characters are both kick ass and sexy while doing so (Think Revy, one of my favorite characters ever: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/lagooncompany/images/b/be/Revy_M79_grenade_launcher.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130714133003 ) There's nothing wrong with a female character showing a bit of skin, even if it is cliche. There's nothing wrong with a female character having a nice face and voice, I am a male, I like these things. It acts as a power fantasy to women on top of that. So it makes both men and women happy.

It even has a dorsal fin! I mean no ammount of cleavage or skin baring, not even a well written story could salvage this thing!

Maybe if the character designers would leave the fucking house for a weekend and stop spending all their free time browsing posts tagged as "Transgender Female" on Tumblr we could get an actual fucking good character. At this point I don't care if the female characters are just straight up knockoffs of the male characters! As long as they're pretty! There's no reason we can't have an ass kicking and professional female who rivals Dallas for leader! And for fucks sake, if they could write some unique dialogue too, that would be great!
Or you could just man the fuck up and give us the Hatsune Miku Kawaii pack that you know we all fucking want.

Genuinely can't tell if this post is legit or not, but I'll cave in.
Cheap sexualization and objectification of women is not within our interest when making characters for Payday. Making badass heisters with unique visuals, cool backstories and great VA that are fun to play, however, is.
I'm very proud of what my coworkers have done with the character roster thus far, and I salute them for making fun and creative design decisions on a consistent basis. :]

You guys did an amazing job with Clover. The VA is killer.
Great design, but to be fair, the hair is a bit odd for a heister. Very unique and easy to spot in a crowd, which would probably make finding out who she is easier. Not great for going icogneto.
But hey, its a video game and everything else about her has been awesome! I look forward to playing as her. :)
