Hello, Dire here! 

I'm Dire and I'm a comic artist and illustrator. I love the comic medium. I love that it can incorporate concepts from illustration, animation, and writing. I love drawing the characters, and through them, projecting a performance. I'm still learning (like any proper artist should be) and hopefully you guys are interested in joining and supporting me through this journey!


You may have found me through Tumblr (Portentous-Offerings), where I have posted a lot of fan comics for Miraculous. 

I don't currently have a web comic thing I am known for, nothing permanently ongoing at least. I'd like to eventually, but for now I'm honing my skills on a mixture of fan content and original shorts. 
I'm hoping I can put more focus on producing original comics with original characters. And I'm hoping with the help of my patrons I'll have the time and resources to be producing original comics every month!



As of right now I've got to hold on pretty tightly to my day job to afford to pay bills and what not, which means I don't have as much time as I'd like to create art. Over time I'd like to develop my Patreon further and add more incentives, perhaps giveaways or tutorials.

I was honestly not expecting to finish with ECN so soon. In my calendar I gave my self a due date of September 30th.
But 4 and a half months ahead of schedule is amazing, and I'm thinking what I need to do is work on illustrations and designs. It's a part of my patreon I've not been able to keep up with, I keep track of how much I owe since my goal was one illustration and 8 designs/icons a month. 
I think I need to draw nearly 100 designs.
Do I need them? I do use them to make prints and stickers for send outs. The most recent send out is late because it too me so long to produce pieces I was happy with. While I do have other art I could send. I really wanted to send this special holo/foil pack for the second quarter.
Would I like to? I think I'd like to design more mindfully, and not just churn out a mix of portraits and chibis carelessly. 
So with that in mind I think up until the original September 30th deadline, I'm gonna focus on that kinda work.
I think I also have to be more realistic and not set a goal of 8 designs. Focus more on what I draw in stead of how much I'm drawing. Though it's good to have goals. So perhaps making projects instead of quantity goals makes more sense.
I'm also thinking about the Patron send outs, I have been making prints and stickers for whatever fandoms I feel like but that doesn't mean it resonates with everyone. I'm wondering if it would be better to make send outs that are not fan art, but might be themed or even practical things like journal stickers (I tend to use those sorts of stickers)
I'll still do fan art of course, but might not be building send outs around them. I'll think more on this before I commit either way.
