I’m pleased to introduce you to Michelle Christman, the Passionate Mom for October! Michelle and her husband Dr. Evan Christman are the co-owner’s of Premier Chiropractic, she has her own radio show Wake Up to Wellness with Michelle Christman, and co-founder of The Harford Wellness Alliance. She is not only a community pillar but also a devoted mother to her three year old daughter.
I am passionate about empowering the world to be healthy and well naturally. I grew up with a mom and dad that took care of us and themselves naturally. My dad has been a Volunteer Fireman for almost 60 years at Joppa Magnolia and Long Green. So I always grew up understanding the stark difference between true emergency care and real health care. I use to go to work with my dad at his tractor store almost every day when I didn’t have school. I remember when I turned 16. He gave me a truck and trailer to drive with tractors on the back. He told me, “don’t come home until you have something sold.” It hit me almost 20 years later that what I am passionate about is people. I am passionate about building relationships that last a long time. The only way we can have a long wonderful relationship is if you and I are really healthy.
You wear many hats. Can you tell us a little bit about what you do?
Well, most importantly and my number one passion in my life is my daughter, my husband and our dogs. I am a loving mom and wife. My daughter and husband are my world. I am fully present when I am with them. They know that I love them. The world stops around me when I look into their eyes. They have been the biggest blessing God has ever given to me.
I became very passionate about what my husband does as a NeuroStructural Chiropractor which is very different from what most conventional chiropractors do. This occurred after witnessing amazing changes happen in a three year old girl’s health in our practice Premier Chiropractic. I knew from that moment on when she left from her visit with Dr. Evan that this is what I would do for the rest of my life. This is where I really started down the road to learn how to do things naturally.
Since that day I have learned so much about how to be well naturally. I went to school to be a Chiropractic Assistant and worked side by side with my husband for a very long time at our practice in Bel Air, MD.
I have my own radio show called Wake Up to Wellness with Michelle Christman. I just celebrated my four year anniversary of being on live radio. I love every minute. I interview the most amazing doctors and wellness celebrities throughout the world on how to be healthy and well naturally. You can tune into hear me live every Saturday from 8:30-9:00amE on WAMD 970, WYRE 810, WKHZ 1460 and you can watch me on The KHZTV Network.
I am the co-founder of The Harford Wellness Alliance with my husband Dr. Evan Christman. This is a group of doctors and licensed health care professionals who focus on natural health care.
I am a sought after speaker for businesses, corporations, doctors conferences and groups throughout the country.
Dr. Evan and I were talking one day. We noticed how most doctors go out of our country on mission trips to give free health care to those in need. We wanted to give back in Harford County where we both grew up, went to high school and practice. So once a month, Dr. Evan and I go to The EPICENTER at Edgewood to give back to those less fortunate who are having financial struggles. This has been a huge blessing in our life because The EPICENTER at Edgewood is a community place where family’s come to support each other, grow, learn and give back to make our community a better place.
Why did you decide to work in radio?
I have always wanted to genuinely empower others to be well naturally. I have been fortunate to have stood in our practice watching my husband adjust since 1998. I have witnessed huge positive health changes in his patients. I would be neglectful if I did not share the information that I know with everyone.
Radio has been an exciting journey. I search every week looking for natural ways for you and your family to be healthy and well naturally. I have interviewed the most amazing people over the last four years. My show is live. So it is never scripted. It is me having real, honest and open conversations with doctors and wellness celebrities throughout the world!
What is the hardest part about juggling parenting and everything else you do?
I am so grateful and thankful to be a parent, have a husband, own a practice, have a radio show and have a real life to inspire others. I have learned that all aspects of life are good, bad, easy, hard, fun, messy, exciting, sad and invigorating. I do everything that I can to focus on being fully present right now.
Life is what you make it. I choose to love every part and moment of my life as a mom.
What is your favorite part of the juggle?
I do not like juggling anything. I do not think that I am good at it. I focus on being fully present. I focus on being grateful and thankful. I focus on what is in front of me right now.
What have you learned about yourself since becoming a mother?
I have learned the beauty of love. I have learned how important having strong abundant health really is. I have learned how important my parents, my mother and father in-law and family are to me. How it really matters who you are and what you do. Most people focus on what they have and that does not matter, as much. My daughter is always watching and learning from me. So what am I teaching her? Who am I teaching her to be? Who you are matters. I have learned how important God is and faith is in my life and my family’s life. How precious time is and how important it is to cherish every moment with my daughter. Lastly, I have learned the importance of no. The importance of boundary’s, value’s and being real with how you feel about anything and everything. Alexander Hamilton said, “Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.” I stand for health.
What is your favorite aspect of motherhood?
I love being a mom. This is the best part of my life. I simply love being with my daughter. I believe every minute counts with her. I love everything about her!
Is there a quote that can sum up your life?
It would be a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Sandi Linkous is probably one of the most passionate Moms in Harford County. She is the co-owner (along with her Mom! How awesome is that?) of Merle Norman Cosmetics , and she has been a board member for SARC for 22 years! Every charitable fundraiser I have attended, I see her there. Sandi is truly a pillar of the Bel Air community, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to interview her.
You see, Mamas, Sandi is living proof that you CAN be a devoted mother and follow your dreams and passions. Her boys are now grown, and she is such a success! Sandi didn’t wait on her dreams, she started down that path while her children were still very young. You don’t need to put anything on hold for some mysterious future date.
What are you passionate about?
I am most passionate about living my life to the fullest. For me that means using my time, talents, and treasures in the best way possible to enjoy life and serve others. My world revolves around my husband, Steve, and our two boys, Joel and Jacob.
You wear many hats! Can you tell us a little bit about what you do?
I am a wife, a mom, a business owner, and a SARC board member. As a wife, I get to be married to my best friend. I have the privilege of supporting him in his career and traveling extensively with him. We are a team in every aspect of the word. As a mom, I have realized the greatest accomplishment
