EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part Time (25-30 hours/week)

The Part-Time Intern is responsible for day-to-day operations, administration, task management, data entry and interfacing with participants for the English for IT (eng4it) program. As an American Councils Uzbekistan team member, the Part-Time Intern will also be expected to support and administer daily programming. This position reports to a Program Officer and the intern will work closely with the program staff members.


Job Responsibilities

The Part-Time Intern will work closely with the American Councils Uzbekistan office, primarily within the English for IT program. The Intern will work part-time (20-25 hours per week) for a minimum of 3 months. Scheduling an extension of the internship will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Day-to-day position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting administrative and task-based functions related to a variety of program needs (e.g., drafting documents, liaising with private sector partners, office organization, and procurement);

• Collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting program data and participant information;

• Assisting in the planning and coordination of programmatic and conference logistics, including large-scale events in Tashkent and regional cities;

• Supporting participants by processing, translating, and organizing required documentation for program involvement;

• Designing, creating, and editing program materials for print, digital, and social media use;

• Contributing to other American Councils programs and performing additional tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

• Currently enrolled university students (3rd – 4th-year bachelor students, graduate students) with interest/background in IT, education and project management

•Must have native-level proficiency in Uzbek and/or Russian, and be fluent in English

• Outstanding time management, organization and planning skills

• Proactive, independent, and flexible in task management and program implementation

• Demonstrated excellence in communication and multicultural interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to occasional work on weekends and evenings

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software suite and common social media platforms

• Experience using Canva, CapCut, and shooting/editing videos is a big plus

• Familiarity with English for IT is an advantage


Compensation

THIS IS AN UNPAID TEMPORARY PART-TIME POSITION. Upon successfully completing the internship, Interns will receive a certificate and quality work references from American Councils.
