Part 2 - Android Power Consumption #Master Battery Stats #Battery Historian Guide (Basic)

Ok, so previous article has covered some of the basic things about Battery Historian. And now let us practically do so. Guys, let me tell u i have tried my best to keep this guide as short as possible. If u will search on google about this tutorial u will surely going to get confused. Don't wry check this :

1. The very first thing you have to do is to connect your smartphone via your PC/Laptop and {With USB Debugging Turned ON}

2. Now, Open up a command prompt {If you are on windows} or the terminal {if u using linux etc} and type

adb devices

3. Now, type

adb shell dumpsys battery unplug

and this command will force the device to think that your smartphone is not connected to a power source. This cmd is imp. because when u connects your phone via usb it automatically starts charging and we don't want our stats to get modify because of this.

4. Now, do note that your device should connected to pc/laptop while executing adb devices and the terminal should list your device code as well like in the image given above. Further, type

adb shell dumpsys batterystats --enable full-wake-history

5. Finally type

adb bugreport bugreport.zip

And now the process to capture the batterystats report will start. Don't wry about the word "bug report" in this command. Actually the android system will make a zip file automatically within 5 min. and will shift into bug report named directory.

6. Wait wait u can check your girl friend's msg later on too. But at the moment, kindly do as directed.. Else u will face issues.. Now, what u have to do is just to manually go to the below given path and have to manually copy the zip file to ur pc/laptop.

/data/user_de/0/com.android.shell.files/bugreports

{NOTE - For Peru People Only, u can type

adb pull /data/user_de/0/com.android.shell/files/bugreports

and then the terminal or cmd prompt will automatically pull {copy} the whole folder into your home or main directory... } Others, just manually open a root explorer and copy the .zip file from the above given path to ur pc.

7. Finally, a normal reboot is needed... Reboot your phone now.

How To Upload The .zip file ?

a. Visit https://bathist.ef.lc/ and click on Browse.

b. Select the .zip file u found on the directory i mentioned earlier and upload that.

c. Now, select SUBMIT option and there u go....

d. Now u are free to find the culprits and punish them... DO whatever u want to do man but don't trouble your mother, father and countrymen... WAit, wait if u don't know how to analyse it {Do Google} As each and everything can't be explained.. Yup also we can do much more like Kernel Trace Analysis but that's quite for advanced users..
