Sex & Nudity

  • In a brief scene, a woman accuses her mate of cheating on her.
  • When a character thinks another character can read minds and detect misdeeds, he says "All that stuff you see between me and my female cousin is just thoughts! Just thoughts!"
  • A character briefly describes being in prison and alludes to sexual abuse by a large prisoner who called him "Nancy." Nothing graphic is described.
  • A brief unexpected kiss takes place between two characters.
  • An early scene in the movie involves two people having an affair, with a lot of flirting.
  • While spider-bots are going through apartments looking for the main character, they go into a room and find a couple having sex, with some thrusting movements. No actual nudity seen due to the placement of sheets and objects.
  • The film includes a virtual reality club in one scene that they walk past with women on stage but nothing else is seen.

Violence & Gore

  • Quick flashes of future murders are shown quite frequently near the beginning. We see a man who dies from an accident in a car that explodes.
  • A man has his eyes replaced. A nasty-looking metal device holds his eyelids wide open, but the actual surgery doesn't show blood, just replacing them. (they are shown for an extended period in one scene, as they are carried around to activate security scanners).
  • Two men shoot are shot in the torso on different occasions.
  • A man with no eyes is shown (we see his empty eye sockets and some of the insides of his head, but the lighting is fairly dark).

Profanity

  • One use of the middle finger.
  • Jesus is used.
  • One F word.
  • One f-bomb is used. A few instances of "s**t", "damn" and "hell." 1 g**d***

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • John is addicted to a futuristic drug called neuroin, which he takes from an inhaler in a couple scenes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The beginning murder that is shown in the vision is very realistic looking and intense.
  • A person is mounted to the face and the eyelids are pried open, the actually eye removal act is not shown. The scene may be unsettling for young people (complete with eerie music, creepy characters, disturbing setting, etc).
  • The movie contains some intense scenes.
  • A few massive jump scares
  • The film can get extremely intense. There are many dark subplots about kids dying by some weirdo, some frightening imagery including a man with no eyes.
