Paradise Co Casino Reaches $34M In February

Paradise Inc., which operates foreign-only casinos in South Korea, reported 44.67 billion won ($34 million) in casino revenue in February 2023, according to a Thursday filing with the Korea Exchange.

February's casino revenue tally showed a sequential decline of 7.2%, although it was up 162.7% year-over-year.

Table game sales were nearly 42.32 billion won, down 5.1% month-on-month, but up 176.4% year-on-year, according to Thursday's filing.

Machine game sales reached nearly 2.36 billion won in February, down 33.2% sequentially, but up 38.7% year-over-year.

In February, the company's casino table "drop," or customers, paid to buy chips, rose 244.0% year-on-year but fell 23.9% sequentially to 362.47 billion won.

This figure is based on the casino business division of Paradise Co., Ltd., which consists of Seoul Walkerhill, Jeju Real Estate, Busan Casino, and Incheon Paradise City Investment.

Paradise reported two weeks ago that its 2022 annual shareholder net income was 25.49 billion won, a loss of 52.53 billion won in the prior year. Total sales rose 41.8% year-on-year to 587.64 billion won, and casino sales rose 17.0% to 190.58 billion won.
