In record time, the controversy of the Papers, Please ($4.99) nudity appears to be coming to a close. If you haven’t been following the saga, which has entirely transpired over the last six hours or so, Papers, Please was released earlier this morning without the nudity found in the PC/Mac/Linux version of the game. Developer Lucas Pope mentioned on Twitter that the nudity-free version of the game on the App Store was because Apple rejected the original version due to “pornographic content." Whenever it seems like Apple is censoring anything , the internet goes wild, and as such the morning news cycle was filled with various stories surrounding it.
Not long after that, Ars Technica got in touch with Pope who really didn’t put up a fight on the rejection as he didn’t think the lack of nudity was a “serious burden" on the game. This brings us to the final chapter (Dare I say the prestige?) of this whole thing:
Just talked to Apple. The initial rejection for porn was a misunderstanding on their part. They suggested I resubmit with the nudity option.

So, there you have it. Nudity is coming back, and it was a simple mistake on Apple’s part. If you simply cannot play Papers, Please without pixel privates dangling in your face, you won’t have to wait very long to do it. Let’s all take a deep breath and maybe go outside now.

i was thinking of getting the game for a younger friend and was wondering if there was nudity

You mean like punctuation characters gone wild? (.)(.) I think you're safe.

There is slight nudity when you search people but there is a option to turn nudity off so the just show in the underware :)

The nudity in this game is barely worth mentioning. Chances are the kid has already seen more in a movie or website. 10+ years ago when I was young; I still wouldn't have cared about what was in this game. It's almost the same as typing (.) (.) and calling it nudity. Youtube doesn't even censor this game's footage for it; and that's a site that looks for any excuse to censor absolutely anything possible. They very strictly enforce their kiddy @ss rating and even they don't care about videos of this game.

The communist state of Arstotzka has ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin.

Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.
