Osbournes Set To Return to Reality TV With New Series ‘Home to Roost’
Director & Episode Director & Storyboard
Kouya Asumi is a fourth-year college student who works as a housekeeper for the single father Keiichi Naruse, and a relationship develops between the two.
someone tell me how im supposed to watch it. what do i click. i really what to watch this anime.
Since people watched this series as well and didn't post a review, or I bet not mark it on their profiles I guess Ill be the first to bite the bullet. This review will be shorter than most of mine because of how short the episodes are. I will spoil somethings but not the ending, I'll at least try to use that to bait people into watching this series like I was.
Papa Datte Shita could have been a "blah" series and not a avoid series if the story had a point or if it had a pay off at the end of the series instead of a "pay off" pretty much at the end of each episode.
This is a Boy Love (BL)/Yaoi series which I don't hav a lot of experiance watching so I said why not it will be a nice change of pace from the same idea in the billionth new wrapper that most series have in common. Super powers fighting evil can only be done so many times each season before you say I need a change of pace.
The change of pace is not what you want to experiment with when it's BL/Yaoi series at all. Go watch Aki Sora or Kiss x Sis if you want a change of pace from the normal genres that pop up every season.
Papa Datte Shita is hard to really put into detail because of how much lack of a decent and complete story that is told. If you watch this series and live to tell the tale the ending we get is a complete warm ending but the other 7 episodes seemed like it was filler and a way for the characters to have sex or raped depending on which episode your watching. I still don't know how anyone could fall in love with what Keiichi went through in the series.
If you don't trust me just watch the series (note the 0.5 rating I gave it) and we can debate it in messages or in the comments so people can get more than just my take away from the series. We will agree that the ending of episode 8 was good but the build up seemed like it was just a waste. I wish it was just a 10 or 15 minute OVA, keywords JUST A meaning one not 8.
Let's be clear. This is a series of 8 five minute episodes of h*ntai (not sure of the censoring policy on this website, but this is pr0n). I can't believe I'm bothering to write a review for this, but I am surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I didn't watch it for its... salacious aspects but just because I was curious. I had read the manga and hadn't ever watched this kind of thing before. It's definitely questionable on consent, but it's surpringly sweet and the child is ADORABLE. The concept is straightfoward: a (previously straight) college student picks up a job housecleaning for a beautiful single dad who he ends up having the big hormonal feels for, which he expresses very quickly and overwhelmingly. The dad resists it for various reasons, but they (spoiler) end up a big happy family in the end. It's gosh darned precious if I do say so myself. The scenes where the younger guy is being new daddy to the toddler made my ovaries burst, and I'm usually not that sensitive to that. It was real cute, man. Right in the feels. This college kid is ready to be a DAD (mom? whatever you opinion on gender is in this situation -- he's for it).
The raunchy scenes are... creative. Yeah. I thought it was fun. The dad needed adult human intimacy, and is that so bad of a message? I appreciated that all scenes involving the child were 100% wholesome and overwhelmingly sweet and precious. No weirdness -- surprisingly uncommon.

Let's be clear on this. We are thirsty for some yaoi action and there are nowhere enough (I mean they don't even exist) yaoi hentai out there. Don't expect that the only one appearing after forever will be amazing with a deep relationship and well-structured scenario. Planet Earth asks you to focus a little on reality.
The art is fair enough (6), the story (5) has holes, but the enjoyment fills them all (pun intended) 10. Overall a 9 for what it is -a 5 minutes long, 8 episodes yaoi hentai.
Finally some damn action. You watch it for this and even if it is not
...
uncensored (or I didn't find it) you are still able to see everything and not this stupid before and after shots, the non-existent nipples, and the invisible penises -say no more!
If you need a story you go to other yaoi/ shounen ai or read it's manga. Any storyline that has a child is cute enough anyway, so why to start bitching about this one-in-a-century actual yaoi. ENJOY IT.
AGAIN AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN I have been tricked into watching hentai. I thought this was a shounen ai/boys love anime (as mal tagged it as) filled with male fan-service, and if that was the case I would be satisfied of what I had watched.
BUT this is actually a hentai, so I guess mal has its work to do.
This review may be a bit short because there is not much to cover since there are only eight episodes and they are all five minutes long.
The story: University student Asumi came to Naruse household to be a housekeeper for his part-time job. The family consists of
...
a single-father and a son Ichika. Among them, the father Naruse is too sexy for Asumi!! Even if he is not gay, Asumi gets conscious of Keiichi, and when he noticed that Keiichi is sexually unsatisfied by noticing him watching adult video in his room, he would unconsciously get tempted to attack him…! "Naruse-san, you're too sexy for a father with a child...!"
Papa Datte Shitai based off a manga by the same name and written by serina, seo, and it’s getting adapted by magic bus, that’s literally the best studio name ever.
I never heard of the manga, either I’m living under a rock or it’s one of them berried yaoi/hentai manga.
If you are wondering who the uke is and who the seme is, the uke is kouya asumi and the seme is keiichi naruse.
I personally didn’t like kouya asumi overall I really hate characters like him.
And I found keiichi naruse really charming and sweet.
I was happy with the drama scenes, they had a lot of emotion put into them, and that’s quite rare to see in a yaoi/hentai.
The animation was quite poor, the characters faces looked horrible.
Story: 5/10
Art: 3/10 definitely the weakest thing in this show.
Sound: 9/10 I loved the ending theme it was such a bop.
Character: 6/10 the kid and keiichi were quite cute, hated asumi tho.
Enjoyment: 5/10
Overall: 5/10 a very average yaoi I didn’t have much to offer.
I wouldn’t recommend this to many people, it was really average.
This series managed to be very sweet within the five minutes each episode had. There wasn't just smut - there were also emotions, and portrayed problems that single parents can face from being solely responsible for their child and meeting someone new.
Story (7/10): The manga is currently untranslated, so I can't speak for any possible changes that occurred in this animation. There wasn't one rigid problem throughout the series, but there were problems that gradually developed overtime that the protagonists faced and resolved, either individually or together.
Art (8/10): I liked the light blushes on the characters' faces, and the art was simple. The anatomy was
...
fine too. If you're fond of sex scenes, you may enjoy that aspect as well. My favourite art must be the images in the ending theme song, where we see the main couple and Ichika (the child) together. I enjoyed seeing the simplicity and joy in the ending theme song images.
Sound (10/10): The ending theme is just so adorable and wholesome. I'm glad the voice actors sang together! It's heartfelt and really expresses the family vibe that both protagonists, along with the child bring when they're together. And I have no complaints for the voice acting. There were moments when Naruse sounded genuinely conflicted or worried, and other times when he was assertive and sincere. Asumi sounded serious and genuine too, and his persistence was made clear from the bottom of his heart.
Character (8/10): Due to how short the series is, we don't know a lot of things about the characters or know them extremely well as individuals. However, their feelings and the way they interacted when they were together were genuine. Naruse, as the older person and as a single father, had his own anxieties that older partners sometimes have. Asumi, as the younger person who can probably meet other people, certainly had his own reflections too. Despite the reasons why they may have chosen not to be together, it was nice to see both parties enter a healthy relationship, and they both care for Ichika.
Enjoyment (8/10): It's not so common to see explicit BL animated, so I was happy about that. There were moments when I was curious about what would happen in the next episode, or I finished an episode feeling content. I enjoyed this series for what it was.
Overall (8/10): This series was worth my time. If I'm in the mood to watch something short and sweet again, I would consider this. There was an overall feeling that love doesn't always have a specific age attached to it. Sometimes, people don't dream of dating and finding a life partner again after they divorce or if they're a single parent, so it's nice to see that indeed, love can still happen. There were father-son moments between Naruse and Ichika which were one of the highlights to me lol, so it wasn't just the romance that got me. After seeing this series, I’m open to seeing more stories that feature single parents falling in love.

Asumi Kouya is a college student who wants to earn some extra money. Utilizing his talents for cooking and cleaning, he accepts a part-time job as a housekeeper. His employer is single father Keiichi Naruse, an attractive young man with a troubling history regarding his former staff.
Naruse's time is constantly dominated by work and his adorable son Ichika, and he rarely gets time to himself. Cleaning the man's room, Asumi gets a startling insight into just how frustrating the life of a single parent can be. He finds a pile of adult videos, which results in plenty of implications.
Despite Naruse being a man, Asumi finds himself completely drawn in by his employer's beautiful face and gentle personality. With the promise of allowing the frustrated father sexual relief, Asumi's life as part of this small family has only just begun.
