Padma Lakshmi may be best known as the host of Top Chef and a cookbook author, but the 49-year-old star got her start as a fashion model. And while she’s swapped the catwalk for the kitchen, the India-born beauty is still clearly very comfortable in front of the camera.
Case in point: Her steamy black-and-white shoot with photographer Priscilla Benedetti, which shows Lakshmi covered by nothing but a strategically placed sheet. Both Lakshmi and Benedetti posted the revealing image on Instagram on Saturday, causes fans’ jaws to collectively drop.
“Holy HOTNESS!” one follower raved, while many hailed Lakshmi as “truly stunning” and “breathtakingly beautiful.”
“Wow and wow. What a gorgeous picture of a gorgeous woman,” read a comment.
Another commenter called Lakshmi, who turns 50 next September, “the Benjamin Button of Indian beauty.”
“More beautiful every year!” agreed another fan.
The sexy shoot comes just over a month after the famous foodie posted a shot of herself in the bath — which caused its own stir.
Of course, it hasn’t all been fun and games on social media. On Saturday Lakshmi called out the New Yorker for mistakenly tagging her photo with the account of fellow Indian star Priyanka Chopra .
“I know to some we all look alike, but ... “ she wrote, prompting commenters like Natalie Portman to respond “oh no.”

The 49-year-old television star was shown in the snap reclining nude in a long copper tub with floating flower petals.

Padma has a new upcoming Hulu show Taste The Nation that she created and also is writing and executive producing.
She recently admitted to suffering from mom guilt after running out of time to create an extravagant Halloween costume to match her nine-year-old daughter Krishna.
She took to Instagram to share photos of herself and Krishna, who dressed as Harley Quinn.

'Halloween is sacred to us. An official mommy/daughter holiday. We always plot and plan our costumes together, just after Easter. Usually,' she wrote.
'This year was different. This year mom was lucky enough to get her new show made. This year mom was away a lot. This year mom was overwhelmed. This year mom is exhausted.'
She continued to explain that she just couldn't get it together in 2019.
'I love Halloween. And, I've never not gone all out. But, I just didn't get it together.⁣ ⁣ Luckily, I managed to save #littlehands' situation by what I think is a really kick ass Harley Quinn, but I just didn't get my own costume ready I had no energy.'
Mom guilt: Padma recently took to Instagram to share feelings of mom guilt related to Halloween
Padma added that she tried her best and 'even cried' while stressing about it.
She wrote that she 'luckily' found a mask and threw together a Batgirl costume with a black long-sleeved top, leggings and ankle boots.
Lakshmi welcomed Krishna in February 2010 with Adam Dell, 49, the brother of computer magnate Michael Dell.

The Indian-born beauty was previously married to author Salman Rushdie, 72, from 2004 to 2007.
Padma in March finished hosting season 16 of Top Chef that Kelsey Barnard Clark won.
