PRP therapy cost

PRP therapy has many other names - plasma therapy, PRP therapy. This is a modern, highly effective technique, the essence of which is the injection of the patient's own plasma, enriched with platelets.

The procedure is used in cosmetology to rejuvenate and improve the skin, as well as platelet-rich plasma effectively treats degenerative-inflammatory diseases of the joints. Autoplasma injections start regeneration processes, activate the production of elastin and collagen, and promote cell regeneration. This technique does not cause an allergic reaction, has a minimum of contraindications, and does not affect the functioning of the liver and kidneys. At the International Clinic of Hemostasis, cosmetologists draw up a treatment program for each patient separately, so the cost of PRP therapy depends on the number of procedures and the duration of therapy.

What is PRP therapy?

PRP therapy involves the use of plasma, which is isolated from the patient's blood, centrifuged and injected into areas that need regeneration and recovery. The centrifuged plasma is separated into several fractions. For plasma therapy, a biological fluid enriched with platelets is used. These blood cells actively secrete growth factors that act locally on tissues, triggering the processes of regeneration, recovery, and healing.

Autoplasma therapy and growth factors

Growth factors are powerful biologically active substances that are found in platelets. Autoplasm manifests its effect due to the positive effect on tissues of such growth factors:

  • Platelet (PDGF). Fibroblasts and cell regeneration are activated
  • Epidermal (PDEGF). Cell growth and the formation of new blood vessels are accelerated
  • Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). Stimulation of neoangiogenesis
  • Fibroblastic (BFGF). The growth of connective tissue is stimulated.

The effectiveness of PRP therapy

In cosmetology, plasma therapy helps to achieve the following results:

  • rejuvenation, improving the condition of the skin;
  • increased density, tone, elasticity;
  • intense hydration;
  • elimination of small, medium and deep wrinkles, structural folds;
  • alignment of microrelief, improvement of skin color;
  • elimination of bags and bruises under the eyes;
  • smoothing of scars and scars;
  • increased skin immunity;
  • stimulation of intracellular metabolism;
  • lightening age spots, including hormonal ones, age spots;
  • face contour lifting, giving clear contours;
  • removal of inflammation, peeling, redness, irritation;
  • prevention of premature aging and various dermatological diseases.

Benefits of plasma therapy

The advantages of the technique are obvious:

  1. High efficiency. The results can be assessed after the first visit to the beautician;
  2. Hypoallergenic. The patient's own plasma is used for the procedure, which never causes allergic reactions or other side effects.
  3. Low trauma. For injections, cosmetologists use ultra-thin needles that minimize trauma to the skin.
  4. Painlessness. Before the injection of the platelet-rich formulation, the skin is treated with an anesthetic.
  5. Versatility. The technique eliminates many aesthetic defects and is suitable for patients with any skin type.
  6. Pronounced lifting effect. If you follow the rules of care after the procedure, the lifting effect lasts on average up to 1.5 - 2 years.
  7. Compatibility with other anti-aging cosmetic procedures.

Contraindications for plasma therapy

Contraindications and PRP therapy are relative and absolute. The first are:

  • acute viral or bacterial infection;
  • high temperature, fever;
  • the use of drugs that affect blood viscosity;
  • purulent foci, wounds and injuries in the area of injection.

Plasma therapy is not prescribed to patients during menstruation, pregnancy, breastfeeding. Absolute contraindications for which the procedure is categorically contraindicated are:

  • neoplasm of benign and malignant etiology;
  • autoimmune disorders - systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, scleroderma, Hashimoto's thyroiditis and
  • diseases of the hematopoietic system;
  • thrombocytopenia and thrombocytopathy;
  • congenital or acquired immunodeficiency;
  • decompensated diabetes mellitus;
  • tuberculosis;
  • sepsis;
  • severe mental disorders.

The main stages of preparation for PRP therapy

In order for plasma therapy to be effective and complications do not arise after the procedure, it is important to properly prepare for it. Preparation consists of several stages and includes examination by a specialist, venous blood sampling, centrifugation and direct injection into problem areas. The whole operation takes 20 - 30 minutes. Immediately after the manipulations, the patient can return to the previous way of life, but do not forget about the rules that are important to adhere to during the rehabilitation period.

The doctor's consultation

Preparation begins with a preliminary consultation with a doctor. During the initial examination, the specialist assesses the severity of skin defects, determines the areas that need correction, collects an anamnesis, and, if necessary, gives a referral for a diagnostic examination, on the basis of which contraindications are excluded or confirmed.

Also, the cosmetologist gives recommendations regarding the lifestyle immediately before plasma therapy, because the procedure takes its own venous blood, the composition of which depends on how high-quality the preparation was.

To improve blood quality, it is important to follow these rules:

  • For 1.5 - 2 weeks before PRP therapy, give up alcohol, fatty, fried, spicy, salty foods, fast food.
  • Drink 1.5 - 2 liters of ordinary drinking water during the day.
  • Stop smoking in 3 - 5 days.
  • Diversify the diet with fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals.
  • If necessary, undergo vaso-strengthening and immunosuppressive therapy.
  • Try to avoid stress, nervous and physical overload.

Blood sampling

Before taking blood, the patient is seated on a couch and offered to relax. For the procedure, venous blood is taken in an amount of 20-30 ml. Before making a puncture, the doctor treats the skin with an antiseptic solution, then carefully takes the required amount of biological fluid. The injection site is sealed with a plaster, after which the tube with venous blood is placed in a centrifuge for separation into fractions.

Centrifugation and collection of platelet plasma

The venous blood taken from the patient is placed in a prp tube and then in a centrifuge. The International Blade of Hemostasis is equipped with modern digital equipment that automatically determines the rotational speed based on the OCU. As a result of centrifugation, the blood is divided into 3 fractions:

  • platelet-poor plasma;
  • platelet-rich fraction;
  • fraction containing other cells, mainly erythrocytes.

A biological fluid enriched with platelets is taken from a test tube and placed in a special cosmetic syringe with an ultra-thin needle. With this syringe, the doctor puts injections into the areas that require correction.

Plasma injection

Before the introduction of plasma, the patient's skin is cleaned of cosmetics, dust and other contaminants. Next, the beautician treats the surface with an antiseptic solution. Since the procedure involves the injection of the drug, an anesthetic gel is applied to the areas that need correction before the manipulations.

The platelet-rich solution is injected subcutaneously into the zones predetermined by the beautician. Manipulations are carried out in compliance with the contour plastics scheme. After the procedure, the beautician re-treats the skin with an antiseptic, and then applies a soothing and wound-healing cream or gel. To achieve maximum results, experts advise to conduct plasmotherapy courses. The basic course consists of 4 - 6 procedures, the break between which is 1 - 2 weeks.

To consolidate the results of the technique and prevent complications, rehabilitation is prescribed. In the first 2 - 3 days after the session, it is forbidden to drink alcohol, rub your face and use decorative cosmetics. While the skin is recovering, it is recommended to wash with soft, hypoallergenic foams, to refuse to use care products containing alcohol and acids. Also, during the rehabilitation period, physical activity should be limited, before going outside, he applies sunscreen to the skin.
