This article is an important message for every MEO World player. We strive to be completely open and transparent to the community, so today we have put together for you this article, which fully describes the project's plans for the near future.
Soon there will be major changes that will affect the entire MEO ecosystem and every member of it. But for now, let's recap the history and the development path we have traveled together over the past year.
MEO WORLD RECAP
In February 2023, the MEO World NFT Collection appeared, consisting of many variations of cougars, their looks, outfits, and accessories. The original collection was eventually minted by 200,000 people, and a total of about 250,000 items of different rarities from common to legendary and with a unique power score.
MEO World NFT is fully owned by its users and traded on the open market. It is a utility collection, and the main feature of the NFT is access to the MEO game ecosystem which incorporates a P2E game on Android, a Web3 site, and the project’s social networks.
The first version of the game appeared on the website in August 2023, and it was a beta, while in September the app was officially released on Google Play Market. Since then, MEO has set out to expand its audience and to provide players with crypto rewards.
The game originally had its own in-game currency, MEnergy, which players mine using mini-games and a referral program. MEnergy can also be spent on apparel and items in the game.
Of course, P2E implies crypto earnings, so soon tickets were introduced in MEO. They represent a value that can be exchanged for cryptocurrency during regular drops. This is how players got a direct way to earn money: MEnergy → ticket → drop.
The first drop took place in October 2023 with only about 1,000 participants. The ticket value then was $1, and in subsequent drops it grew, as well as the game itself.
On December 31, 2023, MEO World already had more than 15,000 players, and the New Year's Eve holiday drop was over $10,000 in FRGX and USDT.
The largest crypto drop in MEO history took place in February 2024 with 7,000 participants and a prize pool of $16,000, where 280 NFTs for the CLIX game were also given away.
Throughout the history of MEO World, the team has worked on content and marketing to delight the community every day. We created numerous animations, videos, and posts. We hosted dozens of hours of live shows and AMA sessions filled with upbeat and memorable moments. Regular promotional events, such as giveaways, raffles, and other activities kept the community growing and becoming more active.
CURRENT STATUS
As of May 2024, MEO World has 31,000 accounts, and over 18,000 devices have downloaded the app from the Google Play Market. Few NFT games achieve such impressive results, and it is to the credit of the entire MEO community.
Major updates and events have been planned and announced for the near future, such as MEO Interplanet Tournament, Game Token, FRGX Integration, and more. All of them are on our roadmap, with most of the solutions developed and waiting to be implemented into the game.
However, with new scales, as it often happens, new difficulties arose. The economy of the game, which worked perfectly with thousands of players, turned out to be not sustainable enough for the current number of users. As a result, we faced a situation when the game requires voluminous updates, and the players need regular payments, which rapidly depletes the budget and resources of the team.
Our team conducted a detailed analysis of the current status of the project and the expectations of the community, and it was decided to take a pause for a global and balanced update, which will be followed by a round of investment raising in MEO.
PAUSE
In order to realize all the outlined plans and, most importantly, to preserve and increase the profitability of the game, there will be a temporary pause of gaming and P2E mechanics. All upcoming events and innovations are also postponed. They will take place with the next global update, which will affect all parts of the ecosystem and also introduce new ones.
The MEO World app for android will continue to run in the background mode. Players will be able to log in to the game, access cougar room and the wardrobe. Users will be able to see their accumulated MEnergy, their NFTs and in-game clothing. Combat training, memory game, shop, marketplace, and meditation will be temporarily unavailable.
During the pause, we will keep you updated about the development progress on our social networks and on the meo.world website. We will publish news related to investment raising and development. We will also fully disclose what the reboot of the game ecosystem and economy will consist of.
PLAN
Seed round of fundraising is almost a necessary step for any growing ecosystem, especially in blockchain and Web3. MEO World is no exception, and the whole team is approaching this new stage with a clear plan of actions.
This stage can be called a new beginning and a major growth point for MEO World. After this stage, the project will be stronger, the games will be more exciting, and we will be able to attract hundreds of thousands of new players worldwide.
The MEO team will proceed with the following plan:

Based on our experience, open market demand, and recent successful cases in the GameFi environment, we expect that raising the investment round and elaborating all planned innovations will take a total of 6 to 8 months.

Why does MEO World need a pause?
MEO has grown significantly and requires a global update of gameplay and economy. A pause is needed to fully and efficiently execute everything scheduled in the roadmap, and perform other important updates. The project also needs to collect a round of investments for development & marketing, and to provide a fund for player rewards for at least 6 months.
What will happen during the pause?
During the MEO App pause, game mechanics, value crafting and rewards will be suspended. The project development team will take on new development instead of maintenance and one-off updates. The management and marketing team will take care of organizing the seed investment round and developing MEO's strategy.
What will happen to the MEO World app?
The app will work. All in-game stats and accumulated values will be preserved. You will be able to get into the wardrobe and see your NFTs and apparel. Game mechanics, combat training, memory game, shop, market, meditation will be unavailable. The referral system will be suspended until the update.
What will happen to my MEnergy?
MEnergy crafting will not be available during the pause. Accumulated MEnergy will be fully preserved. After the pause, it will continue to be one of the main in-game values. It will also be possible to use MEnergy on the website.
When will the MEO Interplanet Tournament take place?
The Interplanet Tournament will take place after the pause in a much improved form. NFT suits will also appear in the game after the pause.
Will the MEO Game Token appear, and when will it be available?
The MEO Game token will be launched shortly before the app relaunch and the start of the Tournament. There will also be integrations related to FRGX.
Where can I get updates on the progress of MEO?

How will meo.world work?
The MEO website will operate in standard mode. The roadmap and some of the content will change. All NFT related features will be retained.
